Posts: 17,366 Group: All Powerful Deity Member #1 Joined: December 30, 2005	Forgot to post that Sonic Dash got a massive update the other day, giving the entire game's interface an overhaul. Silver was unlocked for free as well (I think he's a promotion for Christmas) plus certain gameplay changes were made too. The game now has daily rewards (not challenges) that give you free stuff every few hours. Rings are now banked automatically upon hitting a spring (don't know how that affects people who still need to complete missions that require holding onto a certain amount of rings before banking as I already finished the missions), but there are still no new missions. Game just runs a lot smoother now, so it does feel like SOME work was put into it.

I'm not sure whether to think of that as a welcome change of pace, or to think of it as a complete waste of time when ST could be developing for a system that doesn't literally control like a bar of soap.

It doesn't seem like they have any interest in washing the bad taste away from Rise of Lyric by, at the very least, announcing a new project or anything to take people's minds off of it. Instead, they unveil a new mobile game based on the Boom franchise, made by Sonic Team. That sends a ton of bad signals, if you ask me.

Master Posts: 864 Group: Elite Member #72 Joined: November 12, 2009	Likely not going to see anything big for a sonic project, be it normal or Boom, until e3. It's hardlly been two months since Boom: RoL released. Smaller projects like the upcoming mobile game are far safer and better investments at this point, as well as whatever partition they receive from Smash4 and it's Sonic licensing. HOWEVER, an interesting note to consider is that SEGA no longer is bound by contract to make Sonic nintendo-exclusive anymore, as the two Boom games fulfilled the last requirements of that contract.
