Don't forget that was part of the trailer for the TV version. Which is animated by OuiDO!, not any of SEGA's studios. SEGA, in regards to Sonic Boom, is just looking over the projects and going "do this, but don't do that," etc. |

To be fair, I don't think it would be very practical for a character with animal ears like that to wear headphones at all. It would look incredibly awkward if Tails had the earpieces actually on his ears. There would be be nothing to support them since his ears are near the top of his head instead of in the center like a human. Not to mention that his ears face forward instead of sideways. I'm just going to assume Tails' ears are large and sensitive enough to be able to hear through the headphones even with them placed like that. |

You could also argue how one could hear with all the noise from the wind and from the airplane.... but cartoons. |

I dunno, I reckon you could fit an earplug in there if not a full-sized headphone, but I wasn't drawing too much attention to the argument because... well, it's semantics, really. =V You wanna talk about improperly used equipment though, let's talk about the flight goggles that he hasn't even bothered putting over his eyes in mid-flight.

Forgot about OuiDo. XD My point still stands, though: take a gander at the CGi cutscenes of Sonic games past, or even the in-engine cutscenes from Colors, Generations, and Lost World. Regardless of the quality of the games, Sega knows how to animate good. ;3 |
