1. I haven't cleared the game yet, so I haven't seen the credits. 2. I didn't look at the box art properly, so I completely missed Sonic Team's logo. My bad. And shortly after posting that, I actually looked at the announcement post on the SEGA blogs and noticed the "in collaboration with Sonic Team" bit. So I dun goofed/pulled a Keiji. |

 Some people think they've spotted Marine with a boomerang in the top row of this shot. I wouldn't say it's definitive, but I can definently see where one would get the impression.  Health bars. -_-  Okay even I have to admit these guys are legitimately awesome with facial expressions. |

You know, the more I hear about this the more I'm find myself thinking like ES does. It honestly sounds like an awesome concept if they can pull it off right and I could honestly give a pass to Buffles if he plays well. I mean, crap, my biggest complaint with the Werehog is that his levels were too damn long, not that I disliked the beat-em-up gameplay it offered. Taking out the prototype Egg Dragoon without it ever getting an attack off was good fun. |

Coming back to this is nice; the new designs actually look a lot better than I imagined. I actually think the new redesigns are rad, Knuckles and all. Also, fucking finally, Amy gets to be a badass, this is what I've been hoping for for YEARS (you know, with Sonic the Comic doing that and all). |

Health bars have been around for a while anyway, and are plenty fine if not expected to me. It's also possible they're just there for testing. Besides, all-or-nothing rings would likely not work well in this type of game. You either need ring-powered health bar or to have rings only drop in chunks(such as in SA2 and Black Knight, respectively) |

Shadow the Hedgehog, actually. SA2's mechs did have a health bar that rings slowly refilled (if for no other reason that the mechs were so damn clunky that evading was virtually impossible if an enemy got a shot off), but they still dropped the entirety of their rings when hit. That all being said, the idea that it's there for testing strikes me as pretty dubious considering 1) who programs a glow effect into a placeholder HUD, 2) this is a concious decision this would've been made at or fairly close to the start of development, and 3) the game is in its second year of development and it's due to release this year. |

Eggman's new design wardrobe doesn't really make sense in any functional way.
