I haven't played it in ages because the AI is total bullshit. And pretty much no one is ever playing it online when I try to find a game. |

I haven't touched the game in ages because the singleplayer career mode is fucking legendarily awful, and I have this compulsion to unlock everything meaningful in a game first before I start playing online. Yeah, fuck that. I can't even remember the last time any of the events was an actual race, they shove so much gimmicky bullshit in there that it almost feels like a minigame collection. |

Yeah I kinda stopped because of the ai ... And it lacks the proper charm that makes the Mario Kart games work. They keep things simple and easier to control. |

I dunno guys, I haven't been having that much trouble with the AI and doing the career mode has been relatively pleasant for the most part. I actually "beat" the game and unlocked the S Rank missions, so yeah. |

I actually enjoyed some of Career Mode's shenanigans, though some of it was really grating too. Granted, it forced me to get over my apparent inability to snake left, so it wasn't a total loss, and I unlocked Ages, so... Yeah. I kept at it until I got the final character, but fuck getting all the stars. Most of the Console Mods aren't even worth it, save for a select few. As far as the AI goes, it's a hell of a lot better and less BS than Mario Kart, and it takes honest skill to beat them as opposed to praying they don't get the lubeless sodomy train that is the Blue Shell just because you're an inch in the lead. Heck, sometimes it's possible to literally make them eat dust if you're doing well enough on some maps. Basically, I'd rather take Sky Tigers over Blue Shells any day. Plus I can race as Eggman. |

Not mentioned: Racing on higher difficulties costs extra, on top of the initial $5 purchase. There's also an option in the game's store to unlock all difficulties "forever" for $10. Possibly meaning that using Rings and Stars to race on the higher difficulties is just a one time thing. Ew, microtransactions in a game that already costs money. Then again, this is horrible enough that I'd be saying ew even if it was free. Then again, do we actually care? We just want Ryo on consoles. Or just some fucking new characters sometime this century, since the console versions haven't gotten anything yet. |
