Okay, first things first, lemme post the terminology: Log Mode: A member logs into MGB by inputting their username and password. This'll lead them to pass through a dimensional rift and enter the virtual world of the board. Guest Mode: Any person can view the board from a normal perspective through their PCs by being in this mode. Second Skin: The "cyber suit" a member wears when they log into the board. They're textured the same way the skin of the board is; all black, with a glowing, blueish "circuitry" patterns all over the body (similar to Tron). There is a circular pattern in the center of the chest, as well as on the back of the hands and on the shoulders. Moderating staff's lining changes depending on their rank (Mod = Orange, GM = Purple, Admin = Green). Moderator's Armor: Mods have more advanced looking Second Skins, with armored parts covering certain parts of the body. The higher the rank, the more armor a mod carries. Regular mods have a chestplate and arm guards, GMs have additional shoulder pads, and greaves, while Admins have a cape and optional helmet. Utility Belt: Exactly what is says, a belt around the waist used to clip on useful items, and possibly armaments. Virtual Cell: The VC is a member's connection to the rest of the internet. It's a small device that clips onto the utility belt, and comes with a wireless headset and visor. With it, members can access other webpages, talk to people through IMs (voice is transmitted as text to someone who isn't a member), or even access a map of the board. Members can check their PMs here, as well as view their warn bar. Mods have access to more functions. Altered State: An ability given to Elites on the board. It gives said members exceptional abilities with which to combat any incoming threats. It may come in the form of a weapon, a special power, or even a transformation. Private Message: PMs are an electronic signature that any member can use. The difference between them and any other message sent through the VC is that they can be seen physically on the board. They appear as pixelated balls of light, that create a trail behind them as they move. They're usually seen travelling at high speeds. Ban Hammer: A special ability only available to Admins. The admin summons a large hammer out of nowhere and brings it down upon their victim, instantaneously disspitating his virtual existance from the board in a wave of static. Suspended Member: Appears as a see-through image of said member. Can't physically interract with anything while logged in. Most people here are in the know, but feel free to inquire. I'll update this post with more later. |

Ah sorry, I forgot to specify that this was a planning topic, so no need to post OOC. And yes, as Shakes stated, I'm doing this for the memories of MGB, not for the sake of a setting. |

In a sense, yes. It'll obviously be overblown and have a more sci-fi theme to it so as to make it exciting. The world this RP takes in will be some sort of virtual world, ala Tron. Except instead of sentient programs, you'll have "users" or rather, "members". Seeing as this place isn't being graced with every awesome member who was at MGB, nor would the RP have housed everyone seeing as not everyone's RPing, a lot of us will be portraying some of our favourite members in memory of them. |

Well, the main difference would be that, instead of us being viewers on the outside, we'd be there, where the action is. A member going on the rampage would be shown as just that; an actual person going around the virtual "city" and destroying things, or whatever, depending on the damage they're doing. Try to think of it as: n00b - Criminal Members - Civilians Staff - Law Enforcement/City Officials/Superheroes |
