It's kind of sad to see us searching so hard for a movie that comes out in less than a month. I'll bet it doesn't even show the monster. That wouldn't be nice, now would it.

Well, technically King Kong was from Africa. He was just brought over by Americans. Much the same way that Godzilla was brought to America in the film with Matthew Broderick as the main character. This is the first time that the monster comes from an area within U.S. territories.

The main theory right now involves one of the Tagruato drilling facilities in the Atlantic Ocean. People who have bought Slusho! merchandise lately (like hats, shirts, etc.) have been getting secret documents included in their orders with handwritten messages talking about how something has gone wrong at Chuai Station, and that there have been people turning up dead. Chuai station can't be more than 1500 miles off the New York shore, which certainly makes it plausible that the monster would head there.

And again, the reason most people think it's a whale mutated is because of Slusho!'s use of what they call "Deep Sea Nector." In the final video on jamieandteddy.com, we see Jamie open up something that looks a little bit like it could be this "Deep Sea Nector" or whatever, which seems to play an integral part in the story. Two of the more recent trailers show a brief scene where the silhouette of a woman is struggling with the silhouettes of two officials behind a tent covering or some other such material. She screams, and we see her sides expand outwards. It's a bit graphic, but it's sparked a whole hell of a lot of discussion about how that ties into everything.

A lot of people think that that girl is one of Jamie's friends, and that she ate the substance that Jamie received in the package from Teddy. But again, it's all speculative until we see the movie. :P

By the by, TFKS, in response to the showing of the monbster, we've so far only seen a shot of it's lower body, but Abrahms has confirmed that we will see the whole beast. However, his focus is to show the movie off as the events happen to one group of people as if it were coming from a home video camera. Therefore, we're not going to be seeing the spectacular aerial shot of the monster or anything unless the character with the camera is in a helicopter. His whole focus is to present it realistically so that a person can see everything from one point of view, as if you were traveling with the person who was filming.

The woman expanding is at 1:07. You see the monster at about 1:21. It's VERY brief. There's a better one somewhere, but I couldn't find it.

I figured you meant a monster MOVIE originating from the US. >.>

This movie's starting to sound really complex and deep. I'm looking forward to it.

How do you establish a building being knocked down as a monster? I'm not doubting you Aku, but I just can't make anything out of it. I looks like there is something more solid in shape and colour from the debris coming from the building and there has to be something there in range of a RPG. You have to take into consideration that it is big enough to lop off the Statue of Liberty's head so it has to be really big. Godzilla proportions most likely, if not bigger.

Where are these people finding out all of these things on the sites. These sites you posted, Aku, are just fake sites for the Cloverfield project, right?

Well, most of them ARE just publicity sites for the movie. But Slusho! is an actual slushie company. J.J. Abrahms even mentioned them once before on the Alias show.

As to the building being knocked down, you have to watch closely. You can see something moving into the building before it's knocked into. And yes, it is really really big.

Ok, since Slusho! is real, and it is tied to the movie and possibly creates this giant turtle, mutated whale, etc., I don't really want to drink it!

I would. It'd be friggin' awesome to suddenly transform into a giant tortoise. Not so much with the whale though.

I SAW IT TOO!!!!!!!! I SAW IT..... THE 19TH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT. WAS. AWESOME!!!!!!

*SPOILERS*
The movie didn't clear much up. It also doesn't show any relation to Tagruato, Slusho!, or T.I.D.O Wave. It could possibly be that Rob was to be the Vice-President of Tagruato.

Also, this is old, but look at these. 1-18-08.com More specifically, the ones of the whale (the one on top), the ocean of blood (directly under the top one), the night vision one, the destroyed ship (under night vision. Also, take note on the blurred out part on the ship's bottom.)

Watch this. Fake news report. Very interesting. I'll post more later!

I did see those. ANYONE GOING TO SEE THE MOVIE, STAY TIL AFTER THE CREDITS!!!!!!

SPOILERS!!!!

Also, it DID mention Slusho!. That's what Rob was supposed to go for. They just refer to it as "This Slushie company," though. Also, his MySpace Blog mentions that he's supposed to be in charge of marketing the product to the American audience.

Also also, the site jaimelovesteddy.com added 6 new videos the day before, of, and after 01-18-08. In one of them, Jaime takes a taste of what Teddy sent her, telling her not to eat it. All the following videos include Jaime talking about how good she feels. So we know she ate it. And it was almost most assuredly the "Deep Sea Nectar."

Also also also, Jaime was in the movie. During the party, she was the blonde passed out on the couch. No one really knows just yet what the effects of the package were. Still looking for more on that.

Also also also also, in the last scene, where Rob and Beth are at Coney Island, you're apparently supposed to be able to see something fall into the ocean on the right hand side of the screen. I'm going to see the movie again on Friday, so I'm hoping to be able to catch.

*SPOILER*

I know all of that, but I thought Rob was to be VP of Tagruato? psssssst.... What's the password of jaimelovesteddy?

I downloaded Cloverfield off of the internet, but I can't see anything in the last scene. I guess it was the way it was recorded. The dude must have cut off part of the screen. I knew about the thing from the sky AFTER I got home and checked it out!

Also, the thing could have been dropped on purpose. I may be something to do with Tagruato satellite "Chimpaz III" or whatever it was called. They were cross-breeding apes with other animals and it crashed. The crash could have been staged. It may have been programmed to fall in the Atlantic there. It could also be near a drilling site for the Deep-Sea Nectar!

The object also has the possibility of being dropped by a plane or something like that.

I'll be back if I find out more!
