Alright, alright, alright. I saw this movie again today (second time), only this time without all the screaming fanboys that were present the first time I saw it (the early screening at Anime Expo). I thought for some reason that I might enjoy it a little less this time, but I planned on making the sacrifice in order to see it w8ith a friend who didn't want to see it alone. Well after the movie I had to say to myself... "Nope. Still badass."

Plain and simple, this was an awesome movie. What about you guys? Anybody seen it/not seen it? Plans TO see it (Psycho, I'm looking at you ;))? Feel free to talk about the movie here, but just don't spoil it for those that haven't seen the movie yet.

Haven't seen it (obviously), but will be when I go stateside in about a week. The action figures are pretty badass though, I just saw a bunch of them today!

Everyone's saying "needz moar Starscream", and I'd probably agree, he IS the favourite villain.

Well, I'd give my counter-argument to that claim, but it'd ruin the ending for you guys, so I'll hold off on it for now.

Is this in reference to the supposed scene after the credits that's supposed to lead to some kind of sequel? I dunno what it is, but yeah, I'm hoping it's awesome.

Exactly. It's a very strong sequel-possibility-maker. The scene leaves it easily open for a part two. Not that Micheal Bay will ever do it, though. He's not much for sequels. -_-

Why is it that people hate Bay so much anyway?

I have no idea. I like him, myself. He just doesn't really seem to be too into making sequels of things. So if there is a sequel to this movie, it's likely that it'll be under another director.

Saw it today... And I'm pretty dissapointed. There was too much yakkity yak and not nearly enough robo-ass-kicking.

... But what do I know?

Saw it, and it's the best revival of my childhood thus far. This movie has been one of the most amazing experiences this summer, and has been one of the most pleasing movies I've seen in a very long time. Here's to a great sequel.

... Then apparently I'm overthinking this, or something. I just expected it to be about, I dunno, giant robots. Instead, I find a movie full of Shia LaPoof and his freaky radio with some robo-ass-kicking tossed in on the side.

Actually, if you noticed, they made most of the storyline that was about the human characters overly-clichéd. They did that so that the focus would remain on the main storyline, which was about the "robot ass-kicking," as you put it. I personally think they did a great job. It's hard to fit everything from a cartoon to a live-action movie.
