You know, it's not everyday you see a geniune TV show that grabs you by the delicates and makes you take notice. In fact, it's been too long since I've seen one I've been interested in. Cliched shows about lawyers, cops, or psychic crime scene investigating morgue cop lawyers who get lost on an island are just too frequent these days.

So, I'm visiting a cousins during the summer and he tells me about this show called Prison Break. I figure "oh great, a cliched show about some guys who try to get out of prison, whoopee doo". So I sit down and give the first episode a shot, and am immediately immersed in this thing. OK, I heard this show was on par with Lost, which in my opinion is a cheesy lame cliched and contrived show. Prison Break however does just as it's title says, BREAKs the mold! There's just so much about it that screams "OH MY GOD, AWESOME!"

So, here's the basic premise: Story's about a guy who's brother was sent to prison to be put to death for a crime he didn't comit. There's a big conspiracy going on in Washington, and he was the fall guy. So, the main character figures he wants to take action. He helped design the Prison his brother was taken to, and after carefully calculating every little detail (READ: screw from specific bench in the yard fits in basin socket in cell), he sets himself up and goes in to break his brother out.

I won't spoil much for you guys, but I recommend watching it. I've gotten about halfway through the first season, and will be getting my hands on the rest soon.

As much as Heroes gets a lot of attention (as well as Lost *pukes), I don't really see much going for Prison Break. The third season kicked off a couple of weeks ago and we're well into the fifth episode.

So...anyone else here besides me watch this show?
