I don't know guys, from what I can see, and that isn't much, I think I'm going to give it a chance. Not only is continuation of a series something I love no matter what game it is, but this does seem like it could be quite interesting if the story isn't shit.

Beside I'm kinda glad we get new Spartans and from what I read in Game Informer, the Spartan IVs are actually on a ship or something that explains their "multiplayer" aspect of the game and it meets up with Cheif somewhere in the game. It also gives me hope that maybe, just maybe, we can get out of the glitchfest that is Reach now.

Oh, and there won't be any Elites in Multiplayer at my time of posting. And I wasn't a HUGE fan of firefight like you Arem, although it does suck to lose such a cool game mode in the new one, ya know?

It's less of a glitchfest and more of a lagfest. Firefight had it the worst, but then it crept into competitive multiplayer.

I like it when people use the word "gay" in any context other than a homosexual one - it only proves that they have the maturity of a five year old, as if their obsession with shooters didn't already do a good job of pointing that out. It's also pretty amusing that he pointed out Skyrim considering the fact that, y'know, it's set in the bloody medival era and doesn't even have muskets, let alone generic modern firearms.

But just for fun, let's play around with his logic a bit.

game - gun = gay
game + gun = -gay
game + gun + Arem = ???

I'm glad to see there's actually someone besides me who was ever interested in the franchise because of the potential lore and backstory it has.

See, that's the only reason why I would pick up Halo again. To play the campaign. See, I played all the campaigns through and through like a crackwhore. I'm just not sure about whether I trust 343 enough to do a good job at it.

...I thought that was why this series got popular in the first place. The amazing universe (and soundtracks).
Good Game

Hex: Yes, you've read the book, you've seen the film - now avoid the game like the plague lest your memory of Harry Potter's epic conclusion be tainted by what can only be described as a short, half-arsed cover-shooter that's boring beyond belief.

Bajo: ...It's shit.

Aside from the FPSfags, yes, that's precisely the reason xD

I actually had a really good weekend in Halo Reach this past weekend, playing with my friend. We were, admittedly, just playing to finish the daily and weekly challenges, but multiplayer was more fun than it's felt in a good long while.

In all honesty, I had a lot more fun with Halo 3 than I ever did with Reach. If it wasn't necessary to buy a Live subscription, then we'd be totally all over that.

The ability to enjoy the game itself isn't as great after a while because when people first get the game they all play together. That's how it was with the last few Halo games from what I remember, people were playing a lot (whether it was matchmaking or custom games). I'll pick up the 4th if I like what I see by that time of the year though.

Yeah, I remember this; the first time I ever played Halo 3 was with all the guys and everyone was into it and stuff. When it finally became a regular thing with me, no one was interested anymore and we could barely get a game or set anything up anymore because people had lost interest completely.

343 Industries is officially calling teabagging the "victory crouch." But they've also employed instant respawning in some game modes so that other players can avoid being teabagged post-death. Kevin Franklin and David Ellis more or less claim that teabagging is an integral part of online FPS games.

Of course, their main reason for implementing instant respawning in said modes is so that they can have as many people alive in the arena as possible.

But even that instant-respawn option, Ellis and Franklin maintained, was first and foremost a gameplay thing. “It was to get people back in action fast,” Ellis said. They didn’t want people lying dead in the map for too long. It’s just not fun that way.

Pft, we're still calling it tea-bagging.

Spartan Ops will have episodic DLC, but will be broken up into seasons, like the Arena in Reach. What separates it from Reach's mode, is that the Spartan Ops DLC actually revolves around co-op missions, with stories of their own. The mention that it will be season based implies that you'll only be able to access each piece of DLC within the game for a limited time. Which sounds fucking stupid, really. Also, new usable weapons and vehicles and drop-in/out play in multiplayer matches.
