Abrams Main Battle Tank?

 Hi all I'm new here and looking to be pionted in the right direction!!
I am looking to get a tank in the very near future,but I want a tank that I have yet to see in a "HOBBY GRADE" condition.I know that on ebay there are tons of the ABRAMS tanks but NONE that look like they would last much less be able to work on should anything break.

Please help I really want one BAD!!!!!!!

 If you want high hobby quality your pretty much stuck looking at Tamiyas line of tanks.

In toy grade but worth noting the Heng Long tanks are cheap, decent looking, ok running and you can get replacement parts for them...

 .........I know there are several cheapies on ebay but whats the likely hood of taking an A6 and swaping the outer shells to another 1/16 M1A1 or M1A2

My biggest reason for wanting the tank is that I work at the plant that makes the Abrams.................you see them all day and NEVER get tired of seeing them!!

I hope SOMEONE has some input on this!!
