Here she is! :woohoo: :excited: Although technically not finished because I don't have the spinners on, I'm going to fly it the first available opportunity. Thought I'd take a picture before flight just in case...

That looks cool. Looks like the commander of the Tiger is in for trouble.
Hope the flight is free from any problems. and that it wins out against gravity.
First class work KEEP IT UP.

I maidened the P-38 Saturday morning. Very exciting takeoff when it was discovered that it had a wicked tendency to roll left. Turned out it was due to a twist in the left wing that I thought I had corrected, but it came back. :banghead:

It wasn't too much to correct with significant right aileron and I was able to circle around and perform a nice gentle landing.

I need to fix the wing and try again. But it did look really cool in the sky! :drool2:

I will eventually get video posted somewhere.

Any time you get it down in still together is a good thing... I've lost a few planes in my time...

Well the wing is better than it was before! I flew it again Sunday morning and only needed about 20% aileron deflection for wings level instead of 50%+. I just trimmed it out and flew it around for 7 minutes (being conservative on the battery run time). I only had to put back in 480mAh into the 1320mAh battery, so it's going to have a pretty decent flight time. A friend got some video, but most of it was unusable because the skies were overcast and the auto focus was going wacky. The takeoff, landing, and a couple of turns and flybys came out alright. I'll edit them into a short clip and post it somewhere later this week and post the link to it in this thread.

Not great video, but it gives you an idea of what that Tiger commander needs to watch out for:
