Craig, dinna know where this belongs, so I placed it here.

Its a re-release of the venerable Robbe Rodeo, which is now being called a 'Kaiman 6x6' by Conrad. Conrad also sold the KettenFahrzeug that was a poor compeditor to the Blizzard/Pistenbully by Kyosho/Graupner.

http://www.pdf.conrad.de/pdf/WX/lo/WX_0095.pdf

And for that 299.00 Euro you get it upgraded with twin ESC's, not the twin MSC's that the PistenBully and Rodeo had. This will allow the now infamous 'superspins' that many people dislike, and could not be done with the MSC's. They operated oddly, one being a throttle, the other being a power-divider, a mechanical way of doing what the Tamiya Leopard's gearbox does now.

If you look carefully at the optional stuff down the bottom, you can see the ~VERY~ rare and almost unobtanium Water Cannon Body (LoschMonitor Karosserie) is now again available for 99.95 Euro!

http://www.eiteljo.de/Rodeo.html (this one has the water-cannon body)

The one tidbit I've found in my searches is that the tires need to go on in reverse of the shown direction to get any decent headway in the water.

I've also seen it done up as a semi-replica of the APC from 'Aliens'... stuffed under a 12" G.I. Joe ATV (the yellow one) and can think of a few other neat ideas...

I'm trying to see if they have a US importer/distributor.

ARRGG!

Conrad will NOT ship out of Europe/Asia.

I bumped into an old trade friend on RCU. He supplied me with my first Blizzard DX in trade for an RT1601 Sherman, and hooked me on the 6x6 because of his Rodeo. He is on TamiyaClub as ColonelChimp.

Now it seems he can bring stuff over here on the plane. He comes over to Nova Scotia to spend his winters (don't say it guys, I already did...) and it'll save me ~horrendous~ postage from Europe.

Update: His flight got cancelled due to issues, but I'd made other plans - see below.

Mebbe he can help next year with other parts... we'll have to see.

UPDATE:

They have hit eBay Germany, and are 20 euro cheaper. The sole seller ~will~ tale Money Orders, but not PayPal.

Re: My search.

Irish mick suckered me, and I lost 130 euro despite PayPal's attempts. Beware of people that offer help out of the blue. Anyone in Ireland willing to pay a guy a visit with a stout piece of oak or ash, enquire.

But back to my search... I caved, bagged a used one on eBay.de, with some extra parts and a NiB 'loschmonitor' body kit for half price, and it should be here any day. Pics when it arrives.

I'm going to see about fitting some other rims and tracks to it for better snow running... like some of the 'Wolverine' 1:1 beastie thats on the market.
