Hi, I'd like to get the springs off my Pershing to replace them with softer ones, at least the front two, they are rather stiff. How do I get them off? I've poked and prodded at it and cant see how they come apart. I know I saw a few pictures somewhere that showed how to get them apart, but my memory fails me and I cant find them again! lol Thanks! Your in luck! I just happened to be stripping some spare hulls. So I can give you step by step instructions with pictures. Start with popping off the outer wheels, they just snap on. Remove the inner large wheels by removing the screws. The smaller upper wheels you need to pull the pin, this also holds the top of the shock. The bottom of the shock is removed by removing a small screw. Once the shock is out of the tank, all you have to do to separate the shock is to compress the round sleeve so the spring is fully compressed, then bend the upper mount to release the hook from the groove. Once you understand how they work its easy to do. The front spring is much thicker then the rear springs... |

Any ideas for a plan B? Seems they decided to glue my lower wheels on! I guess it's time to spring for a newer updated one? |

Aw man!! Are they all that bad? And here I was just replying to show you the difference in the springs...![]() PM me and I'll send out a couple springs and whatever bogies you need. I never thought that my spare hulls wouldn't be glued and the tanks are. |
