i just got a new blizzard. this thing is great! im workin on the brake upgrade and the locked diff oil... any benefit to a crawler style motor? im not gonna be plowin or anything. just climbig the snow banks! i was thinking of adding some weight and a high torque motor. what do ya think? |

Its a matter of finding a balance. The stock motor was great for all round bashing altho it got pretty darn hot. I really should have geared it down a bit from stock. You can pick up a Integy 35turn lathe motor. It would be a bit slower and yet have even more power then stock. |

^ thats exactly what i was thinking. i dont really want to be s l o w... but i want some more torque so i can climb. now, what if i went the other way and used one of my multiplex 600s? that definetaly wouldnt slow me down! but would it help me to climb?

im not too sure if you would have enough torq unless you had an area to blast it befor trying to climb anything if you wanna climb your best bet is to use a lathe motor. |

I used an Integy 35t for awhile, and it worked great... LOTS of torque, reasonable speed.......... I personally don't think that I would go any more than that - I have crawlers, and a 55t would climb the side of your house - in about 1/2 day

You guys are missing torque??? I'm missing grip more than torque! This thing will climb anything even with the stock 540... then if there is grip it will tip over, not before you reach stupid steep angles... otherwise it just sinks in if it lacks grip. It's geared so low any cheapo $10 540 gives the tracks plenty enough of force... Paul |

ok for those of u who dont know im new at this blizzard thing and my name is jim but the one thing i did notice is that if you dont have you dulerate set right nomatter how slow u turn u turn to sharp not only that but grip is a problem i dont think the stock tracks have big enough tread to dig deep into the snow thats why the thing keeps stopping and spinnin out the motor isnt the problem its the the track but if u stiill need a motor then go cheap
