looks like on this site is where they get some of their parts- (with each site there are many pages just click next) tracks and wheels etc.- http://www.veroma-shop.de/shop/catalog/def...&sort=2a&page=1 swing arms for wheels- http://www.veroma-shop.de/shop/catalog/def...php?cPath=70_74 dual motor setup- http://www.veroma-shop.de/shop/catalog/pro...roducts_id=1392 This is what they say about the dual motor setup- STEERING GEAR 1:10, ideal for all tanks on a scale 1:10, propelled with two 24 V of Dunkermotoren, an engine as pure drive motor for forwards and backwards, which closes second for steering and on the place. Sounds like the perfect setup for a blizzard but apparently if i calculated it correctly the price would be over a thousand dollars american |

Most of the track setups are actually treadmill belt cut up into little strips. Then aluminum extrusions are riveted to them. |

The Germans continually make us look like we're in the Dark Ages R/C-custom-wise. The price you figured may well be true: In America, the Wal-Mart mentality rules! I can vouch for this simply because of the many domestic requests I get for custom this-and-that, but the subject of price comes up before the specs are even worked out: Speaking plainly, American guys are cheap to a fault. I do about 40% of my biz in Europe now, and that will probably grow. To have the best, custom, mind-blowing stuff don't come inexpensively, and most of what you see online is by guys that do it themselves, for themselves, just for the love of it, and it shows! I get the idea that most Germans are accomplished machinists with lots of free time or something. Chris |

I guess all that hype about "fine German engineering" wasn't just hype. Still stands today. Even the common hobbyists manage to make ridiculously well crafted machines. |
