I voted for brushless. why? because you can. But seeing how no one wants to put a $300 motor setup in their blizzard for fear of water... I'd probably go with an emaxx motor. idk, something cheap. I'm just happy my blizzard can move. It was sitting on my shelf for a full 2 years before I worked on it. |

Hey look, it's rcmart, thats where I bought my blizzard. hehe. Here's the manufacturer's site if you'd like more info there. http://www.lrp-electronic.de/e/news_flash/detail.asp?id=753 That actually looks rather interesting, a 650 sized motor in a 540 can, truely a big-block. Says it works with all over 15 turn speed controllers.. that just so happens to be what my runner plus reverse is.. Has anyone else found more information on that motor? What do you guys think? "designed for big size touring cars and monstertrucks with one or two motors" Gotta find a way to convince Toyranosaur to make some more dual-motor plates.

While I'll stick my vote in the other too. I'm running a grapner speed 600 8.4v http://www.hobby-lobby.com/speed600.htm Now I am only running 6 cells but you can go up to 12 if you wish |

thats cool it looks alot like a mayhem but a mayhem is 20.....sumtin turns. the longer the armature the more torque it will produce. might be a good choice

Looks like its just a high torque 540 motor??? Have you tried it? Is it better than the stock motor? Good news guys, i finally got my Blizzard Df-300 around last friday and ive just finished building it. We have traveled to Idaho and the snow is perfect. I did one run yesterday but forgot to let it sit outside for 15min. before i used it  Even though i had major icege on one of the boogies it seem to work well. Didnt look as fast as outcasts videos but I was onyl running it on 6 cells. The only major flaw that i did, was painting the back of the cab black....Thus it ruined my fire engine red look....what ever it still looks like a snowcat....lol. I also added some ram headlights and tail lights so its starting to look more scale everyday. Im planning on purchasign 3 spot lights to mount as well! THESE THINGS ARE AWESOME! |

Yes they are. A few days ago we got some snow... First time I've run my blizzard outside. Twas amazing. I don't have the body cut or painted.. but I don't really mind. Still fun to play with outside. |
