What is the best sized tank to fit under a 1/10 scale truck body?

Thats a difficult question. Tamiya / Heng Long / Blizzards are all smaller the 1/10 scale. That being said if you look into smaller bodies (1/12 or smaller) you can make them fit with little mods...

If you want to stick with the larger bodies you'll have to make new chassis and then adapt 1.5 or 2 tanks into it to make it large enough to fit under the truck... I tried 1.5 length Blizzard tracks to work with a F650 body and it was rediculous.

depends what you mean by 1/10th bodies.... short wheelbase ones such as those made by Tamiya for a 9.3"(237mm) wheelbase like the blackfoot/pajero arent far off on a blizzard:

however "maxx" sized bodies are way way too long:

this is the problem that most tanks arent 1/10th scale, but are done in 1/16th(Tamiya/HL) or 1/12th(blizzard).

as OC proved you can bolt 3 track sections together instead of the usual 2 with blizzard parts but its a hell of alot longer than normal, not to mention it would need a totally custom chassis made up.
