Just finished installing a mini 2.4MHz color Vid camera on my Hen Long Bull Dog. Man what a blast I put it on the main gun mantel with a drop of hot gun glue, so if needed it can be taken off without any damage to the tank or the camera. It draws its power off the main battery through the power switch under the tank, the instructions say 8volt so it should work off 7.2volt and it can. This is how I tested it. I turned on the receiver for the camera which came with it, plugged it into a small color TV, Took the tank outside and turned on the power switch, went back inside and
what I saw on the TV was just GRR/Eight. Looking straight down the barrel of my tank . With the Hen Long transmitter turned on I hit the start button Through the speaker of the TV came the sound of the tank starting up, catching, and then into an idle that you could feel all the way down to your shoes. Driver forward slow faster now left at cross road (end of path)EZY, slow, stop. rotate gun right back to forward facing(because of the sound you can tell when you are facing the front)
Rotate gun left, stop, target, POT PLANT, aim load fire hit load and fire again Face gun forward again drive down road(path) Turn at BIN Stop target left BBQ WHEEL aim load fire, missed left a bit, down a bit, fire, missed down a bit more, fire hit Turn right, target CAT, stop don't fire he is on our side
drive back to cross roads. Turn off tank and listen to motor come to a stop. HOW MUCH FUN CAN YOU HAVE WITHOUT LAUGHING The cost of the camera set less than $50USD Well Worth the money not only for tanks but for any RCV that you would like to have a ride in to see what its like

Now, that is really cool Imagine holding a battle where noone would could see entire battlefield like current tank combats. You watch a screen so that all you see is what your tank sees! Now that would make for a much more intense battle than the way it is currently done. It's a lot more intense when you have no idea who's shooting you, let alone where you are. Then again, such a battle setup could be extremely costly.

Great idea! I have always thought a perfect battle system would be 2 tanks with 2 cameras per tank. On from the drivers position, looking forward. The other from the turret. The turret would be resposible for firing and watching your back. While the driver could just drive. You would have more fun with 2 tanks in a mocked up basement then you could imagine. Bring it to 4 tanks and you would have 2 teams of 4 or 8 guys. I love the concept of Tamiya tank battles tho the godlike perspective is a little bit much. It would be much more freaky not knowing what's around every corner. You would have to work together as a team, or you'd be dead! |

Hi all. There seems to be 2 different types of cordless mini cameras out there. one is the 2.4MHz and the other is 1.2MHz, I think they both have 4 different channels so that would give 8 cameras. 4 teams of 2 I have noticed that when you fire you can see the Orange BB's fly through the air and find there targets, it seems easier to see them through the camera than the just by eye. The standard Air-soft gun in the HL tanks works well and at a realistic distance does not seem to harm the TARGET tank.
I placed my Tiger 1 in the yard and went looking for it, Through the camera I say a glimpse of it behind a garden bed, moved slowly forward to get a good shot at it
, fired and hit the front drive wheel, adjusted my main gun ,fired again and this time hit just above the second to last road wheel, just where the petrol tanks are, the next shot hit in the middle of the second and third road wheels, just were the ammunition is.
This is just to much fun, even in my own back yard through the cameras eye every thing is different. Best or all you can record it all on a video. So you can have instant playback to stop any misunderstandings
