So my question is how hard would it be to convert a HL tank into this beast? Its an interesting peice! Something about Isreal paint schemes make me want to convert everthing I own to the same colors.

looks like across between the M26 and walker bulldog to me...changing the track layout shouldnt be too hard, but you would have to fabricate the 'turret'...

personally I like the idea of making a Merkava MKIV but IMO that would be a harder conversion....

My first thought is that it would work with a Walker tho you'd be short some parts. The Pershing has more suspension related parts to it and would be easier to cut off what you didn't want. Then a Walker upper hull minus turret. Walker tracks. And a Styrene turret.

It must have been interesting to drive as theres no main hull drivers position that I can tell. Plus its running backwards.

That Merkava tank is cool but I don't know how you'd even begin to make one.

to be honest as a Main Battle Tank weighing in at 68 tonnes, I'd polly have to base a merkava around the Tamiya Leopard 2A6, unless I can signifcantly increase the size of a Heng long... the M26 pershing"snow leopard" is the closest HL as it uses 6 road wheels... if I make it this will be a long term project, but IMO its the coolest tank ever, yet as its in constant development its hard to make models of it for mass production, so if I want a model I'm prolly gonna have to build it myself.

as for the M52 self propelled howitzer - I assume it drives, and shoots, seperately hence calling it a self propelled gun. so there is prolly a driving mode and then when its at the battelfield it switches to a firing mode which may prevent it from driving.....

the Pershing definetly has the track/roadwheels you'd need, but the visible upper hull looks exactly like a walker bulldog....

Yep. A backwards Walker. This would be really cool to bring to a tank battle :drool2: You're sure to be an original. And I love the color.
