I just started to look at these things and, ummm... wow... A little voice in my head keeps saying it's too good to be true, but sounds like it's hard to go wrong with them, at least with the super versions.

I was looking at the MatoToys link and they all come with xmitter, charger, and battery?

How about construction? Screws/bolts/nuts or lots of rivets and "one-way" locking plastic tabs?

I wanna beleive! (So I can get out my credit card)

They are seriously easy to work on. Just screwed together. Wiring a bit of a inigma but theres plenty of guys willing to help should you go wrong.

Electronics and parts are cheap to replace. Tho I haven't needed to get any replacement parts for my 3 tanks. I did buy spare track as thats something I assume I will eventually break. I have all Super versions, and will stay that way.

And if they ever did break the way I figure it they are so cheap that they will make a good model, I'll just buy a new one and have spare parts.

Heck want to try building something unique like a 1/2 track? You wouldn't want to spend the money for a Tamiya and hack it. But a HL? no problem... Wether you succeed or fail at least you didn't spend a lot of money.

The sender radio works just fine, the tank reacts like one would expect. You can even drive the tank and use all the other functions at the same time. What more can a guy expect? The included 2000 batts give you about 45-60 minutes runtime.

The only thing that sucks about them is the smoke units. They are still prone to failure. Are hard on battery life and stink to high heaven. I didn't give any of mine a chance to fail. I just removed them as I don't like them enough to worry about it.
