Heres a great solution to a small HL problem. (originally posted on RCC) When you fire the machine gun all of the lights flicker on the tank. Annoying but not the end of the world right? If you rewire the lights to run off the smoke unit power, you get rid of this issue completely. It doesn't draw enough power from the smoker to worry about and for all those that remove the smokers like I do its a perfect solution to a no longer being used circuit. Note: you will lose the flash when you turn on your tank, but haven't started it with the remote yet but thats a small price to pay for a more realistic lighting. As well you can use the stock smoker switch to turn off the lights if you want. Another bonus. ***CAUTION*** As with any mod there is risk of damage. While this should be perfectly safe to do. By changing the design of the tank electronics you are taking the risk you could do something wrong, or that the change could hurt the electronics. Tho personally I don't think theres too much to worry about myself. And will do all 3 of my tanks this way. |
