Ok i found this on the internet or somewhere i dont remember. But I am not sure what he made the plow out of. It looks like a threshold that goes over like carpet and tile. But i cant find anything smooth like that, it all has ridges on the top and two grooves in the bottom. I work a Lowe's and I have been all over that store and I cant find anything that is like that.

here is the link ---> blizzard plow

Sorry, my German is too rough to read most of it. Something about using Alu-Profile. When I did a search, it appears to describe all sorts of aluminum stock stuff. Maybe Alu-Profile is a brand name or german for aluminum stock.

Did anyone get the movies at his site to play? When I use WMP to try to play it, it tries to download some codec, says the download failed, then treats it as an audio only file.

it may be an alu extrusion the sot of thing they use in window frames. I have seen curved peices before, but usually there is something on the other side, it is of course possible that the guy has trimmed that off, after all whats a little more cutting if your already making a custom plow?

I know some folk have used a very cheap method of PVC pipe cut in half with a peice of alu strip bolted to the lower edge for protection, this was on 4x4 RC trucks tho, most of the blizzard plows I've seen seem to favour all metal approaches...

Looks to me that he's just used strip alum and bent it into a curve. (if it didn't come that way already) and neat idea of using hinges cable system to handle the elevation chores.

Great link tho. :nice: I am def. going to have to seriously look at his plow design. It's a lot simpler then some other designs I have seen.

lol i know, I am already thinking of a way i can make a plow, and i dont even have a bliz yet. But that guy is a genius or just has alot of time, but he has made some other cool stuff. Anyone know where i can get a bliz? Its looking more like next month at the earliest i can buy. (stinkin bills :banghead: lol) I was thinking it was like some kind of a threshold or something like that, but the only ones i can find that are very very close to that is fluted (has ridges on the top)
