Over the years I have always been a tank freak. No picks of the first few, they all met there demise long before I was smart enough to take pics. I am sorry for the crappy pics, I did not have a great camera. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 The avalanche was a tamiya leopard, cool because of the 540, but it only had one motor which was no fun, you have to have two motors in a tank. The second was a blizzard with plow and I hated that thing because of the chain drive. Enjoy Nate NOTE: Can someone enable HTML coding so that I can show pics?? |

the code works, but the URL do not have a valid extension, e.g. .jpg or .gif or at least thats what it tells me when I changed the code tages to
*edit* I have also changed it so members can use the [DOHTML] tags.. it makes no difference to your post tho... presumably because of the problem stated above(no image file extension)

I will have to work with that this evening. I use the exact same host for scale4x4 and it works even with the ommission of the .jpg extension. Thanks Nate |

for some reason even though you have enabled html coding, the view source is still showing the quotes wrong.
This is how the source looks from scale rc.

very odd... we will have to look into the html thing, see whats going wrong...originally it was not enabled at all, so its unlikely its been set up 100%... Anyway now I can see your pic/links, I like it, the avalanche looks cool! do you still own it?

I wish I still had the avalanche, but I sold it. Story of my life. I really do perfer tanks with dual motors, it just seems better. Nate |

Sig: Shame... with the new DMD gearboxes out there, some of the guys are converting the older clutchers to DMD gear, and the Leo becomes a dual-motored tank again. Others did a hack on the gearbox, and removed the clutch-gear parts to install motors to drive them. I never tried it, but it ~is~ do-able with twin 540's. You'd have to use two good ESC's ( or a robotics dul-ESC) though, as I'm not sure the Tamiya DMD is up to the task. I've seen a few 'mods' to the Tamiya kits... th wildest being CrabFu's steam powerplant. He's made many steam-powered items, including a centipede and a few other leg-type walkers. Now if only someone will get an RC model of the Howe & Howe 'Ripsaw' on the market...
