Has anyone tried to do this? From what I have read the tanks nice but the electronics leave something to be desired. Seems like it would be a cheap option to get a better running tank. Seeing as the S&S upgrade is only about 25-30 bucks...

I know that this is an old thread, however I have completed a WSN T34/85 conversion to the HL Tiger1 S+S electronics.

The upgrade is well worth the effort involved.
I setup the T34 so that the smoke does exit thru the scale exhaust stacks.
The T34 operates the exact same as the Tiger1. Operations much improved from the stock WSN electronics.

Regards,

Bullyhys, do you have pics? I've always loved these old Soviet tanks, and am considering getting one.

I am as well. I would be ordering a SS upgrade with it if I do of course. I can live with a 10 speed, but not an on / off switch driving.

Yes I have pictures and the T34 has been field tested. the whole operation in my opinion is well worth the time involved. :woohoo:

I'm not sure how to post pictures on this site.

Thanks,

They say we learn from our children, the paint is craft store acrylic mixed with 70% alcohol and sprayed on using a air brush.

A trick learned from doing 40K minitures. The T34 turned out so well I applied the same method to my Tiger 812 TIKI.

I too just finnished my T38/85 conversion to HL S&S Elec. Very easy only a 1 night job. It still runs a little fast at full speed, but it will go anyware my M41A3 will go. I painted it in N Korean colours, opened the comanders hatch and added 2 converted HL figures. Now my Pershing has something to play with and because the colours are the same as that N Viet, my Bulldog has something to play with too.
