If an effort to bring in donation money to the site I am offering this to everyone that is interested. So What do you get and how much? Thats the question everyone is dying to know! What you get is enough pad material to do 10 pads, thats 2 complete sets, even if you were to make a mistake. Plus you will also recieve 4 longer screws to make up for the extra thickness. ![]() And the price? $5us donated to the site. Donations sent to: makingtrax@telus.net (You can just use the donation button) Make sure to include your name, address, and that its for the brake pads. Installation: Heres the quick and easy version on how to make you own pads. 1) cut the material slightly larger then your metal pad. 2) apply a thin bead of CA to the pad and press the metal pad down with something heavy. This will ensure the pad has bonded well to the metal 3) Take a exacto knife and thrim the pad material to the shape of the metal pad. 4) Sandwitch 2 pads together (material in the middle) and drill out the holes. 5) This is the important part! You need to make sure you clean up the holes to have free moving pads on the screw. You can do this many different ways - take a 3mm screww and use it to file the pad so its free to move - you can use a dremel to clean up the hole area. - you can also use a slightly larger drill bit and couter sink the pad material - you can use a small file to clean up the holes - last you can use you exacto knife to trim a bit of material away 6) Mount pads using the provided longer screws ![]() Your done. Its actually easier then it was to type this. What you want to do next is adjust your brakes. They are going to behave completely different then before. While your in there a great mod is to fill you diff with grease or diff lock oil. http://making-trax.org/index.php?showtopic=237 Between these 2 mods your have a great driving Blizzard! |

If you throw in a couple bucks more it should cover any extra mailing fees. I'm not too worried about it. |
