If you wanted to run your brakes like the nitro Blizzards do, you can pull it off with stock parts.

All you do is flip the brake cam around and move it to the next slot in the shaft. Quite easy to do. Now just flip your steering servo upside down and marvel at how much room you just made for your electronics.

NOTE: Make sure your going to clear your spur gear with the brake linkages. The stock linkage setup may have clearance issues. Aftermarket linkage setups should not have these issues. Just something that must be considered when making these types of modifications...

AST,

I will try to explain it.

1. remove complete diff
2. loosen set screw and remove silver hubs from each drive shaft
3. remove 2 3mm locknuts and slide off the brake pad and disk
4. remove brake arm by loosening set screw
5. remove small brass puck that is visible, note location as there are 2 holes
6. slide brake "shaft" out and turn over
7. re-install brake shaft from bottom and re-install brass puck into oposit hole it was removed from
8. re-install all parts in reverse order as they were removed
9. brake arms should be under main deck of chassis now, so you need to flip your steering servo upside down so that all your linkages are below main deck

Hope this helps, not really that hard to do, actually I think it took me all of about 30-45 minutes to do last night. You will understand it better once you start to tear thinks apart. Do one side at a time so if you get stumped you have the other side for reference.

Z-Rider

While you have the diff out, fill it with some 100,000 or 120,000wt "diff lock" silicone if you have not already done so.

I've just done this mod and it is great. Looks good, works well and leaves loads of space for all the electrics.

Only takes a few minutes too.

Thanks Outcast

outcast not to be rude but i found that using the springs from a pen kept bindin up my breakes so i used a 1\4 inch of nitro fule tubing and it seems to be working well but to the origonal idea to flip servr awsome mod i did it and there is a huge differance so far
