Just a warning. The diffs in the Blizzards barely have any grease in them at all. The fact that its an aluminum gear diff doesn't help matters. Make sure to get in there and add some grease to you spider gears and the ring / pinion gears... Now might be a good time to add some difflock oil into you diff while your in there.

To access your diff remove the 2 screws on the front plate (or remove all 4 and put the plate aside like I did). Then remove the brace screws from the sides at the diff end and the center of the chassis.

This will give you enough play to pop the brakes out of the diff. Everything stays in one piece so its easy to remove

ya, i dont have one but ive heard that a 40oz servo is good never mind a 140oz servo. i would buy a smaller servo cuz then you could use that 140oz one on a blade or something

What is the recommended diff oil to use ? I read in another post someone was using 120,000 wt ? That seems extreme if your running in the cold winter and considering the stock motor? I could be wrong , any suggestions.

Opened it up , found a swipe of grease. Was going to use diff oil but I think it would leak out, so used some HPI Heavy Duty grease from my Baja.Stuffed it full , reassembled and seems much better.Update , gonna try the diff oil (100,000) Grease keeps it lubbed but does not stiffen things up enough.

I believe I used 100k. the diffs still behaving so I assume that its staying in there. I'll have to check it one of these days.

I have to test again but I think the 100K actually slowed me down, improved the steering though.
