if you have or are getting a blizzard EV or nitro this is some handy info for you. where can my blizzard go?? well since i don't live somewhere that it snows, i can't test that but since thats what it's designed for it's agiven that it works real good in it and from others reports and photos they sure do work good in the snow!! but since i don't have snow i have tried afew other places and have found alot of problems in doing so. two main biggest issuses i have found, the steering brake setup is sensitive to debry. if anything...dirt,sand,mudd,grass,gravel,wood chips, smeggle, dog poo,hair,children,......get into the rotor/pad setup it will jam and or drag that track causeing loss of steering/control of the RC. second main issue is the main drive gear. it is full expossed and if anything gets into it....yatta yatta yatta....problems with the drive gears. and i mean even acouple grains of sand in the gear causes a nasty problem belive it or not. other problems are simple like traction and ground clearance..... i've tried the beach....looks like it would work awsome on the sand! and it does, till the brakes lock up solid and the drive gear along with it so unless alot of sealing up of the gears and brakes is done then forget any kind of sandy places.mudd! i tried mudd. mudd is good and fun unless it's to wet or soupy and gets into the brakes and gears. any offroad is fine as long as nothing is gonna get into the brakes and gears. then it's only limitis are it's ability's. LOL i've ran mine threw 2ft+ tall grass without a problem. it floats on it. really cool to do. mostly i drive on offroad trails that are dirt/hard mudd/rocks and grave/plants. i usually run it with my 2.2 scale truck/s ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I always loved pictures of your Bliz! Too bad it will never see snow! The only thing that ever kinda bugged me was it needs alum in the wheelwells. Like a lot of the old school Monster tanks did. Some of that mini checker plate would look even sweeter! |

thats a good review... I can agree with you totally, I havent had any snow to run mine in but over grass, dirt, paving slabs(concrete), and plastic sheet(it was over a part of the garden, dont ask), it does just fine... it does slip a little on the smoother surfaces like concrete, and I did find it lacking in traction trying to climb wet rocks but I am partially putting this down to having no rubber pads on the tracks(mine never had any I got it second hand without them), also the steering seems to vary with the surface, its very twitchy on smooth surfaces but much more smooth/controlable on grass or dirt.

CAUTION in mud and sand will ruin bearing if you dont maintain them. |
