well, i am thinking of buying one of these and have been wondering what exactly it takes to get one up and running . i have a few questions first 1. is it a kit? or an ARR? 2. i can use a pistol grip with one of these right? 3. it comes with both a mechanical speed controller and motor? or am i mistaken? and it only takes two servos right? so two channels? one for the throttle and one for controlling the differential braking? and it just takes a standard 7.2V stick pack right? in some of the pcitures ive seen of the chassis it looks like it migh take a wierd battery pack (it might just be me or my comps reslution, but they all look to be of a different size than a standard 7.2V) thanks ahead of time for any help |

I thought ARR ment ready to run.. In which case, I dont think it is; I mean, my nitro blizzard wasnt. Maybe that explains the difference in the instruction manuals. Maybe the EV is ready to run, and the nitro blizzard isnt. I dunno. Or kyosho is lazy and didnt make the correct manual. |

The nitro has to be built which is def a kit. The EV is prebuilt, just paint and add radio which places it in the ARR catagory (almost ready to run) RTR's are just add batts, or fuel in the case of nitros. I would prefer a kit myself but I'll take what I can get. |

well if you really want to build a kit the Tamiya tanks are some of the best....very very pricey tho.... and not really what you might call bashers...
 the EV is mostly built for you, if you look in the instructions its essentially how to fit radio gear and trim and paint the lid.

(A.K.A when are they getting them in?) hey look..did we get new emoticons? i never saw those before ![]() oh and where can i buy a plow for one? i know graupner sell them, but do they only work on the graupner models? |

I think the ones you refer to are on the older DX models which Graupner sold in europe as the "Kässbohrer Pisten bully" I dont think the plows/groomers sold for the DX/pisten bully fit the newer EV....

Far as I know there are no plows comercially available. You'd have to fabricate your own... It won't be long before there will be plans on the site. Tamiya tanks are in a league all their own. Very expensive, but worth every penny I am sure. I think for a guy coming into tracked RC's you can't go wrong with a Blizzard. Then you'll know if tracks are your thing. It will be easier to justify a Tamiya down the road then. Least thats my thinking. And yup I added a few more smilies. Made a couple tanks ones too so at least we have something!
