Just want to welcome everyone to Making Trax.

When I decided that I want to purchase a Blizzard I searched the net and I was amazed at how hard it was to find information on them. Lots of people are asking but theres not a lot of answers out there. Hopefully this forum can help change that with everyones help. So pass the word on and maybe with everyones help we can turn this into something!

Enjoy your stay... :D

Just joined aswell... Hopefully everyone will switch over from the Radio Control Zone forums.

I was thinking about creating a site for blizzards a few weeks back. I've got some hosting from 1and1.com and need to use up bandwidth. (currently using 2% of my 1000GB of transfer) So if anyone needs anything blizzard related hosted online, just ask! Ive even considered backing up all the blizzard pictures and videos from rcpics.net and mirroring them on my site... (rcpics.net is too slow)

I can also get a free domain name for site too! like blizzardrc.com or makingtrax.com or something (just an example..)

This is truely wonderful!

great to see a dedicated forum for the tracked vehicles.

i would like to get a blizzard EV after the New Year, but i want to see someones (preferably video) with a brushless motor setup in it before i do to see if it will hold up to the power.

Well guys...

After a night on the town, what do ya call him?

<span style='font-size:11pt;line-height:100%'>SPEW'N !

Glad there is a board for track'r people like us... just hope there are no debates over which brand is better than another... that really wrecks things.

The Tamiya Tanks are in storage (or the workshop), and the Blizzard DX getting ready for SNOW!

:nice: Hi to everyone !
Here is a Nitro Blizzard owner from Italy, hoping to see this forum grow.

This post is just to wish you a lot of SNOW to use your tracked vehicles. In my city snow is really rare, but I have a lot of fun with my cat over sand and gravel.

And considering the period of the year, I wish you a Merry Christmas, too !

See you around on this forum...

well only for around 6 months....

odd thing is most of the winter here there isnt much snow - I took pics last time because it was the first decent snowfall in 2 years.... well for RC purposes anyway.

its all green and rainy now tho...

Hey guys. Just heard of this site from jchung over at clodtalk.

I've been a fan of the blizzard for years. Had an old Heavy Metal about 6 years ago but I sold it because I was always tempted to run it just a little harder than the parts availability allowed.

I wish I didn't sell it. That was probably the coolest RC I have had.

SO now I am trying to get a new blizzard EV and maybe a couple rc tanks.

I had a cheap-o nerf dart Radio shack tank but I burnt out one of the drive motors and have never been able to find a replacement.

I'll get some pics and post em up soon too. Gotta find em on the old backup CD's

Hey...

Only powder snow is really any good for RCing, unless you got a Blizzard. Why, cause the snow collects and clumps on yer vehicle, and blammo, you've blown an ESC.

And unfortunately, thats all we've had up here lately (Canuck Capital) and its again goiung ABOVE freezing tomorrow... I don't mind it cause I hate the cold, but I Really wanted some good snow for doing some Cattin' about! SNOW Cattin', that is.

And having just seen the X-files movie, and seen the scenes with the northern bace with the 'Cats parked about, I wanna do it that much more. That one mulder drove was a real hog though.
