I've owned Electric racing RC both ON and OFF road my entire hobby life of about 20yrs.

I then got the bug for Nitro since my buds were all running them. I liked the Blizzard and decided to go for the GP Blizz.

Nitro Blizz Pros/Yays

- When it stays running it's a HOOT!
- Lots of HP on the top end to rooster tail some snow tracks.
- Refuel and go again is lotsa fun.
- Sound and smell that can't be replicated. Bystanders are in awe of engine+tracks
- The 2-speed transmission is awesome.. I like shifting into low gear on a steep incline.
- This is a high performance machine.. It likes to be maintained.

Nitro Blizz Cons/Boos

- It leaks messy fuel everywhere.
- I have to preheat the engine with a heat gun no matter what temp outside.
- Going downhill at WOT will break a connecting rod. twice. Tracks have inertia!
- My local hobby shop takes months to do ANYTHING. So parts are sketchy.
- The tuning is finicky depending on air/temp
- Stalling the engine in a barren ice-fjord sucks.
- It stalls if you arne't throttle-conscious.
- No bashing in the fresh snow from the back steps in your barefeet.
- You have to PLAN to go play. Even if it's 5min you'll need support gear.
- It's a high performance model/machine.. it demands to be maintained.

1. If you want a novelty blast of a machine to drive and enjoy. Get the GP!
2. If you want to last minute bash with only a little upkeep and you enjoy some occasional inside action, get the EP

I own the GP and I enjoy it a LOT when I maintain it.

I plan on selling it and obtaining an EP version based solely on the mess and maintenance of the nitro.

If I could get an inexpensive spark ignition engine for it....I would stay with it forever.
Until then. Batteries for me next time. But I'll miss the smell and HP.
