Hello!

I have read thru almost every thread in this website and I must say I´m thrilled of all pics and modding. This site is just the very one I´ve been searching for to get inspiration and tips regarding trax viechles.

Now to my Nitro Blizzard build. I´ve allways whanted one but other projects seemed to come in instead until now. I finally get my hands on an early version of nitro blizzard, meaning no chassis brace, chromed wheels, old body style.

I was more into the newer DF-300 type, but its just peanuts to achieve that.

The engine suplied in the kit GS11x is in my eyes like no no so I will put it aside for something else. I also put ballbearings to all bearing points instead of bushings.

I will use an O.S 18cvr instead for this blizzard witch incorporates some work to get it in place, but I like machining and modding so it suits me fine! I also like Kyoshos special Engine Mount alot and will have those on.

Since the main chassisplate has the Kyosho style threepoint mount to the engine I had to make and adapterplate to fit the enginemounts on.

But note the diffcase and brakepads, theyre sits 2mm above the plate!

I shaved off approx 3mm from the plate at those points so the plate fits on the chassis plate.

Now can the engine easily be mounted on the chassis plate.

I also had some spare parts from Kyosho Superten cars laying around and since they use the same diffcase and gears I put the 92110 High ratio gear set and the aluminium diffcase instead of the standard parts. The diff is filled with silicone wt 20 000 and sealed with those tiny o-rings to avoid leaks.

I decided to alter the gearing a bit to get more use of this engine tourqe.

Well, that´s all for now.
