S,ok EC, as the Predator says" Sh*it 'appens " ! I asked the world-famous trackmaker Kenny Kong abnout this, and to get him to even consider this, he'd need a prototype of what we want, and 100 prepaid orders. Estimated over $200 a pop, but if someone fronted that, and put a whack on eBay, I suspect they'd sell like hotcakes. To be honest though, i think machining from angle stock would be easier/cheaper than casting in nickel-silver (what Kenny uses, not the softer pewter some use) That said, I think the hardest part, and the one I puzzled over myself for self-making them from simple aluminum angle stock and bel;ting is how to close the fabric belt securely without stiffening it. Gluing is possible, but would have to be at a cleat where the belt is already stiff... a left/right tab+tab would be ok, as a attachment fastener from the cleat could go into each end. I can sketch up my idea, if anyone wants a visual reference. WhiteWolf |
