Maybe some bearing are out there that can get wet but I know that most of the bearing I have ever used start to rust and seize once the get wet. So I make a point of WD-40ing them thoroughly then oiling them again. I know rubbber sheilded rust and so do metal sheilded. Maybe the expensive ceramic ones would work?
I was thinking that I would just bearing the internals and leave the wheels to fend for themselves. Pack between the 2 wheel bushings as much grease as possible and then just go have some fun.
It does raise a good point tho. First is there bearings that can take the water without damage. Second are bushings really all that bad?
I have been throwing bearings into everything for so long I don't question why... Maybe its not always the best solution...
i belive boca makes stainless bearings stay away from ceramic for bashing though wont hold up they are for race cars not offroad vehicles
