I've been running my Pershings with metal tracks for several months now and thought I should share an observation or two. The metal tracks place undo strain on the return wheels and they pop off. After driving the tank in the wet grass today I noticed that I had lost 3 more, all new ones. The ones that had previsouly fell off were secured with CA glue. I was lucky enough to get a bunch of spares from Mato Toys so even though all were not recovered I have enough to get them all back on. Also, with the metal tracks and metal gears the rear of the tank sags when going through heavy brush and grass. I've added fishing weights up front near the speaker box to get the nose down and allow it to move more realistically through the terrain, makes low speed movements more realistic too. |
