My father'n'law had to buy a new pool cover tube for his pool. Wow is it expensive! Anyways its 4" aluminum tube. And he had about 2 feet of it left when he cut it to length for his pool. And its ALL MINE!!! I think once its been cut apart and shaped I'll see the perfect plow! Soon as I get a chance I'll see if I can cut it apart with the bandsaw. So if your interested in some try checking out your local pool supply. They may just have a chunk you can have / buy. So I started with this:  It didn't fit in my bandsaw so a minute with an angle grinder got me this:  Then 2 quick cuts with the bandsaw later:     I still need to sit down and decide what I want my final shape to be and how I want to attach it. I do know it has to be a 2 channnel plow blade. So that will direct the design. |
