I have been looking at The Heng Long tanks for awhile now. Mato Toys has them for a great price in Canada. And I have been contimplating picking up the whole line of them. The fact they are 1/16th is really swaying me to them. If and when I do own Tamiya tanks they will fit right in...

From what I see Mato offers replacement parts which is nice. Theres even upgrade parts. If Tamiya tanks are out of reach at the moment the HL's sure arn't...

I do know that the quality control isn't the best it seems from reading other forums. But is it so bad tha its not worth the risk? At the prices I am looking at I would almost pay them just to have them as models anyways and it looks like the all share the internal guts so any spares would interchange anyways...

A big thing with toy RCs it seems is the slow response with the radios, What I mean by this is you tell it to stop and a second later it finally agrees with you. Everything is delayed... Do the HL tanks respond normally or do they have frustrating radio systems in them? I don't want to pick up all three tanks to have to gut them all to real elecs just to enjoy running them.

Are these tracks plastic or rubber? I am sure its been posted elsewhere but I just can't remember. Also do they hold up to normal use? Not breaking or throwing tracks type of thing?

How fast are these tanks? Do they need to be slowed down to be a scale speed like the Tamiyas seem to need? And do they have enough torque to be able to climb or negotiate trails?

And lastly has there ever been any hint that they might come out with a Sherman? That is my absolute favorite tank of all time and I would love to get one...
