Well according to Ultimate Hobbies the Nitro is 70US more then the electric version. Thats a decent chunk of cash. But then the nitro version is quite a bit more complicated. I love my nitro trucks but it's getting harder and harder to find places to run them in peace. They tend to only be used on days that I plan an entire afternoon to go to a gravel pit or park. With an electric I can run them anywhere, anytime. Nitro tends to cost way more in the long run then electric does in parts breakage, and wear... And you have no choice but to go fast. Nitro motors have no torque and even if it did the clutches don't engage at low rpm anyways. The end decision is how you see yourself using it. If you understand nitro and how to run and maintain it. If you have places to go that you can run nitro without complaint. If you love speed, then its prolly a good choice for you. If you want to run at anytime and in any space. Have torque and the abiltiy to go slow. Then elecs prolly the way you should lean. Me I would want both. But since I can't I chose the electric version cause I know I will use it more then I would if it was nitro. |
