Just found this site after a link put on http://www.tamiyaclub.com, and you have some great info on here
Quite a few of the guys over there are into Blizzards of varying types with some nice DX's with all the accessories as well as a fair few EV's. The pictures of the Orange EV posted further up this thread are actually copies of pictures of my original release EV with Kassbohrer colour scheme from my Tamiyaclub showroom here......... http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...d=28205&id=3382 It seems Kyosho have recently quietly re-released the nitro and EV versions of the Blizzards as well as many of the spares. I recently bought some spare tracks, some hard to find drive parts and a full spare bodyset from a UK supplier, so the spares are out there if you need them. By sheer co-incidence I also ended up with what looks like one track (a BL-10 one) from the DX / early EV release Blizzards still in its original packet! It comes in about 4 sections with more, thicker bars on it. Up until I got that I had always assumed the tracks were the same accross versions of the Blizzard :). Although I have a few RC cars and a Hovercraft, the Blizzard is probably my favourite - there is just nothing like it. Just finished fitting mine with an 11 turn motor and have fully ballraced it, although dismantling the whole thing is not for the faint hearted Cheers, Chris |
