Party Leveling?; how bout' it?

Well heres a little something I always used to use in my RPGs back in the day Its basically a cell phone but Im sure you can think of something imaginative to do with it.

Make a new item called "Cell Phone". Set the item type to "Switch", and call the switch "CellFone" or something like that.
Now, go to Common Events, and make a new event called "CellFone". Set it to "Parallel Process", and set the switch to "CellFone" or what ever you called it.
Insert a new message, make it say "Who would you like to call?" or something like that.
Insert an "Input Number" command, set it to any bunch of numbers (I like to use 5) and set the variable to a new one named "CellFone".
Now, add a Fork Conditions command, set it to Variable, and set it to "CellFone". Set the variable number to the phone number you want the player to dial (like 12345 or something similar).
Add whatever you what the person to say inside the fork conditions branch.
Repeat steps 5 and 6 for each number you want the player to be able to dial.
At the end, just add a "Change Switch" routine to turn the switch "CellFone" off, and possibly a message like "Click!" to know you've hung up.
Your code should look something like this:

<> Input Number: 5 Dg. [0100:CellFone]
<> FORK Optn:Varbl[0100:CellFone]-12345
<> Messg: Hello! It's Manoz

: :Bye!

Copying from Cell Phone Sample Game
If you want to make this easy, first load the Sample Game into RM2K. Then, copy the item "Cell Phone", and the common event "CellFone" into your own RM2K game. It is set to use switch 0100 and variable 0100, so you should have no problem. Also, the provided sample code is copied directly from the Sample Game, so you should be able to recognize how it works.

it wouldn't be just for party leveling. It could also be for settting up parties to fight bosses, or just act plain stupid :lol: .
