Disclaimer – This story is my creation, the characters belong to Stephanie Meyer. Chapter 8 Wraiths I gasped in pain as my hand cramped badly for a second time tonight, the pen it had been holding fell to the ground from suddenly nerveless fingers. An apologetic smile came across my face as I bent down to pick the pen from the damp grass and finish the hundredth good luck note I had written tonight. We were at a Farewell Party that the entire town, or most of it, had surprised us with, they wanted the High School Graduates to leave with fond memories, or at least happy ones to help dampen the shock of recent events that had plagued this small, insignificant little town. The person in front of me, I didn’t take the time to think about who, took their small invitation back with a smile, my returning nod was now automatic as they walked away from me, heading back to enjoy the festivities of the evening. Friends, neighbors and relations jostled me with their pats on the shoulders and back as I made my way through the dense crowed towards the refreshments table. My hand faltered as I went to grab a cup of red punch as I felt the table shake as a clap of thunder roared through the heavens, followed shortly by the heavy drumming of rain, people around me stopped their conversations to look up, as if to make sure the enormous pavilion was still set up over them, gave a shrug and resumed their conversations. A sigh of annoyance escaped me as I grabbed the punch and took a sip, barely noting the overabundance of sugar while looking through the crowed, trying to find my friends in the milling mass of people in front of me. “Well someone isn’t having fun.” Ben’s deep, soft voice murmured into my ear. My returning chuckle turned into a moan of relief as his large, well practiced hands kneaded the tightly coiled bunches of muscle, giving respite to the high strung tension between my shoulder blades. I leaned into him for support, emotionally more than physically and whispered softly “Why did you leave me back there? I have been forced to sign farewell cards for the last hour or so. I don’t think my fingers will be working right for the next few days at best…” I bent my fingers with exaggerated slowness, put on an expression of intense pain as I groaned with a smile. It was his turn to chuckle at my grossly exaggerated movements, his hands slid down to cusp my waist as we held each other, listening to the patter of rain in silence. My eyelids closed as I leaned my head against his shoulder, my quite voice barely reaching his ears, “Where have the others gone off to, I need to wish some of them good luck still.” His answer came in a non committal grunt as he took his hands from my waist and grabbed my hand, pulling me in the direction of the tree line. A sudden, almost crippling sadness fell over me as I caught my first glimpse of the circle of my friends, my incomplete circle of friends. It seemed so blatantly obvious from here, like there was an ever present void that could never again be filled. Bella was dead, the blood that had covered clearing in the woods, the one that had sent Charlie and Renee into an almost manic depression, the scene that had dealt a permanent blow to this small town’s feeling of security. I wiped the warm, trickling tear from my cheek as memories of Bella’s kind face mixed with her carefree laughter, her characterized clumsiness, the pale flush of her often embarrassed face. I took a deep breath of the moistened air, letting its coolness flow through me and calm my fidgeting emotions as we joined the circle of friends. Mike’s large hand landed on my shoulder, his boisterous voice drowning out other conversations, “Ben! Angela! I didn’t see you here, thought you hadn’t shown up!” I turned my head to look at him, giving a little shrug under his hand as a forced smile adorned my lips, Ben’s worry tinged voice rescued me from embarrassment, he had felt my hesitation. “I don’t think we could have missed this” He cut off as he arched his free hand towards the party behind us, “even if we had wanted to” Ben motioned towards the group, telling Mike that he would be over shortly as he turned towards me, concern creasing his smooth skin. I took another breath and looked at him, nervously smoothing my dress, my voice came out with a slight tremor despite my efforts. “I’m fine Benny, I was just thinking about Bella…just…just give me a minute to calm down, I will be over soon, and take this will you?” I gave him the small cup of punch but he didn’t seem to notice the action, judging by the pained expression on his face, he was trying to decide whether to comfort me or not. I sighed with annoyance and gave him a sharp look, “Go.” Ben let his arm fall from my waist, concern still creasing his brow until he saw my expression jump to anger and finally followed Mike to join the group of friends who stood a few yards away. I watched Ben’s back as he walked away with an almost glazed stare, the coolness in the air hadn’t done much to soothe my emotions which only seemed to tighten as I continued to watch my friends laughing and enjoying themselves as they shared memories of the past, carefully skipping around Bella and anything attached to her. I tore my eyes from the group’s merriment, trying to get a hand on my constricting emotions before I snapped, breathing deeply and exhaling through the nose, a simple exercise I had picked up from my childhood. Heavy rainfall quickly soaked through my hair, making my dress more cumbersome than it already was as I wandered out from under the tent, staring at the unseen ground through wide tear filled eyes as memories of the wooded clearing ran unchecked through my mind. I didn’t know how long I had been walking, but when I finally managed to push the morbid images from my mind I found that my unconscious wandering had taken me a good distance from the celebration. Blinking rapidly to clear the wetness from my eyes while I wrapped my arms around myself, not sure how I had managed to ignore the bone chilling cold of the rain for this long as I turned back and started for the group, thinking about the questions that Ben would have and the answers I was going to give him. “Angela?” Ben’s worry laden voice cut through the soft patter of the rain, I looked up wearily to see him and the rest of the group looking at me curiously. I gave them a tired wave, telling them that I was fine, never stopping my slow walk towards the pavilion. My shambling footsteps stopped abruptly as a low hiss reached my ears, an uncomfortable whispering that sent bumps running down my skin. Curiosity piqued, I turned around, looking at the tree line behind me as it seemed to originate from in the woods. Icy droplets of water slid down my face unnoticed as my attention was riveted on finding the source of the low murmuring. I looked at the group behind me to see if they’d heard it but all I saw was Ben’s confused expression and Mike turning to look at me, the others slowly catching onto the sudden shift in moods. I frowned in annoyance and turned my attention back to the trees just as a slight gust of wind sifted past me, lightly caressing my skin with its feathery fingers, filling my nostrils with an irresistibly seductive scent that seared away my troubled thoughts and filled my mind. I didn’t feel the cold anymore, like my body had suddenly refused to acknowledge its existence, an overwhelming urge to find and hold the source of this euphoria that had suddenly became more potent than life itself. My body lurched forward into a stumbling run towards the tree line as I frantically searched the woods with my eyes and the scent. I vaguely heard the shouts from behind me that my brain didn’t register as the scent continued to imbue my body with a will of its own as I honed in on its origins. My mindless running had taken me to the edge of the forest, the ground was now covered with a thick layer of dry needles, bushes dotted the forest floor, hugging the trees as if they were trying to climb it, the wild life was silent, as if they had never been there. I swept my gaze back and forth in confusion that bordered on maniacal anger, the source of them scent was close, it filled my body with its potency, making it an absolute need to hold it. The forest around me was perfect, nothing was out of place save for the dominating scent that drove me farther into the shadows of the towering pines with my eyes scrutinizing every bush and plant. Something white flashed into the very corner of my sight, filling the area with its lustrous aroma, my body flexed and quivered at its potency as I slowly turned around, not wanting it leave me. The women, no, angel that filled my vision stood statuesque with her perfectly arched back facing me forced a gasp from my awe struck body. She was clothed in little more than torn pieces of what were once expensive clothes, her formerly white top, now a grime ridden brown, was so shredded it barely covered her immaculate skin, the skirt she wore had been precariously shortened by various tearings. Her flawlessly pale legs were naked to the world, needles shifted slightly over her bare feet as she dug holes in the soft earth with her finely shaped toes. Silken strands of her shoulder length auburn hair flitted mindlessly on the currents of the soft breeze as she idly turned her head to the side, as if listening to something fascinatingly entrapping. “…Angela…” Her consummate voice whispered throughout the hushed forest without interruption, pulling at my soul with the utmost of ease. I could only stare as she slowly turned around, revealing her curvaceously impeccable body, the pronounced cheekbones, and thin nose. A whimper of inadequacy mingled with fear burst from me when I looked into her inflamed eyes and saw the bone deep hunger warring against the immense restraint etched into her ravishing face. My eyes widened as images of Bella were pulled to the surface of my mind, I fought against them, trying to push them away from the image of the woman standing in front of me, not wanting them to taint my vision. Her expression became dark with anger as she stared at me, her delicate hands clenched as a bestial growl emanated from her, “Why Won’t You Remember ME?!” Her anger sent a shockwave of terror slamming into me, tearing any blocks out of its way with ease, images of Bella swarmed into my mind, filling my vision with vivid memories of our friendship before her disappearance. Warm tears trickled down my cheek as the string of images came to a stop with the bloodied clearing which stayed in my mind no matter how hard I fought it, the trees peppered with blood, torn pieces of clothing lay strewn on the ground, memories of pain filled screams echoed through the trees. An icy finger barely touched my cheek, taking my tears with it as a soothing murmur filled my mind, “Remember Me…” |

I DO! That's the one you sent me. I loved it. You are an amazing writer, and using Anglea's perspctive was so creative. I would like the other chapters. |

Disclaimer: I do not own any of these characters; I do not own the books (although I bought and read them) these all belong to the Stephenie Meyer. This is My story though. Prologue: A Shattered Personality Had I a heart, it would have burst from my chest. The air was electric, substantial, as if my reality was being moved around to accord her the space that she might fill, light-footed, majestic, the goddess approached. I knew her! Beauty gleamed from her form, purity and genius coalesced into a single form, and yet as I looked on, my mind reeled and shuddered. This woman, divided, havoc and chaos incarnate, her smile turned upside down and became horror in every way imaginable. Terrible and harsh in every way that she had been soft and wholesome before, molesting, probing, breaking every mental barrier I had in my repertoire, and as she continued her march to a dirge only she could hear, I regained my composure for enough of an instant to realize one thing. I was screaming. Clamping my jaw shut as hard as I could, I looked away from the unholy sight standing in front of me. A few moments past in a dead, monotonous silence as I tried to regain what was left of my composure. I stopped as I felt her maddened gaze boring itself into my most inner thoughts, shredding them, searching franticly through my mind, tearing up thoughts I had buried for a reason. Edward looking loving into Bella’s eyes as he leaned over to kiss her, only jump back in surprise as Alice punched him from behind and doubled over laughing. I felt my head smash into the floor before I realized that the memory she had just witnessed provoked her into resorting to using physical violence to stop the memory from continuing. Stiffening into a rigid pose on the floor as a hand that felt like it had been chipped of a glacier clamped onto the back of my head and lifted me effortlessly then slamming me into a wall. I vaguely heard some metallic clanking coming from both sides of me as i gazed into eyes that seemed to settle on one emotion. Dimly I realized that there were two other figures in the room that had just gotten finished bolting me to the wall, quickly retreated back to flank this monolith of insanity. I wrenched my eyes away from that sickeningly hypnotic gaze, trying to ignore the feeling of impending doom as I tried to discern what she had sheathed her body in. My eyes widened as I realized what she had thrown over her sleight shoulders, an enormous wolf pelt that swirled around a thin, almost too small body, conforming to her every movement. I let out a strangled cry as I realized what she was wearing underneath the cloak. She was wearing what resembled a modern era cheerleading outfit, but all the cloth had been replaced with a patchwork of… an involuntary spasm of muscles jerked against my chains, throwing me back in horror as I realize that it was not a cheerleading outfit, but a tank top and a mini skirt that was comprised of extremely thin, almost translucent pieces of vampire skin.Suddenly my muscles failed me, not on behalf of the extreme hunger that tore at my insides but rather the mind raping horrors I had witnessed on entering this spot of Heck on earth. A place were humans were nothing more than cattle too be slaughtered whenever the immortal hungered. As soon as I thought had recovered from the shock of seeing this masochistic harlot wearing the skin of my kind soft jingle of the chains as I woke. My head snapped up as I heard the voice of the goddess softly commanding the other two creatures to leave the room. She turned her head to look at me, her eyes trying to bore through my skull with their intensity. I cringed as She suddenly started to laugh, a high chiming of bells from the very top reaches of heaven, but something changed in her tone as I listened, a change that happened so brutally swift that I might not have caught it if it had been anyone else but her. I twitched as I remembered that this...Goddess…had undergone a tragedy that had dragged her through the very deepest pits of Heck. And that is where she stayed. Trying painfully hard to remember this women’s laugh before all this had happened and not listen to sounds coming out of her now. I hadn’t realized that she was sitting now, in a chair that hadn’t been there when I entered this hellhole. Suddenly I felt compelled to look into her eyes. “Well now, look what we have here. It seems that the good Dr. Carlisle has managed to stay alive all of these years in spite of my wishes” she said with a pouting look on her face, but I was looking at something in her eyes. Something that chilled me to my very core of existence, stunning me to the point of being dazed, I was looking at a friend…no a family member who had gone through so much pain and suffering during her time of being changed that she had abruptly broke under the strain. And had taken everyone and everything with her. I couldn’t tear my eyes away from her Immaculate face, but I listened as she started to speak, “Carlisle” she said in an erotic tone, “I am going to tell you a story that not many have heard before, well…let me rephrase that, not many have lived through.” I answered back in a voice that was so full of hatred that It surprised even me, “I have heard your story, I do not need to See it” She looked at me for a moment then said “But Carlisle” she said in a sadistically whiny voice “You were a major participant in helping me get to this stage in life, I just wanted to share some of the power I have accumulated over the centuries with you” Her full pouty lips bunched together like she was about to kiss me. “Why would I want any of your Godforsaken power!? WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME!” by the end I was yelling so loudly it hurt my ears. “Well Well Well , at least this one has spirit…unlike the last one” she said in a playful voice. “But I am feeling charitable today and I will give you a choice, do you want the graphic version? Or do you want something more…suitable to Your tastes?” “Unlike that last one…?” I repeated, something in me started vibrating with fear. “Before you start doing…whatever it is that you do, please tell me who was the other one?” Something flickered in her eyes when I said this, something wild, malevolent but utterly insane. It took her a while to respond, never taking her eyes off of my face, never blinking. “Do you really want to know Carlisle? It might hurt you.” She said sulkily. I was shaking violently now, the chains clanking against the walls. “Oops” she said “I just gave you another choice, no no no I can’t do that now can I?” She stopped for a moment, looking away from me as she started to pace the short length of my cell. She was in my face before my reflexes had a chance to kick in, grabbing my forehead with her hand, she wrenched my head backwards, putting her face that was beautiful beyond comprehension inches from mine she said, “Carlisle I really liked you, but I have to tie up loose ends, do you realize what I am saying?” Her facial expression was that of a 7 year old looking at a bug in disgust, intent on squishing it. This broke me, fear and hatred so intense that it burned my throat coming out “WHO THE Blank IS THE OTHER PERSON ISABELLA!?” I saw her shocked eyes widen until they couldn’t go any further. Her face flitting through hundreds of emotions then stopped. Something that I had known all along suddenly sank into place, she was broken beyond repair and there wasn’t a snowflakes chance in Heck that I could help. “If you really want to know who the other “person” is, then I will show you, but let me warn you.” She had a petulant expression on her face, slowly changing into a beautiful smile as she said this. “They probably ended up like them” She pointed towards a pile of what I had thought was rubbish; I looked at it closely, trying to discern what it was. My hands balled into fists as I realized that the pile was actually multiple pieces of what looked like human limbs. I shuttered in fear of what I had brought upon myself, shuttered in fear of that wicked look of intense enjoyment that had replaced her beautiful smile. Suddenly she was laughing, it seemed for a flash instant that I could hear the old Bella in there somewhere, lost in an abyss of madness and demons. My head flew back; her hand was still on it. A sudden wave of pain shot through me, powerful beyond belief, it obliterated every defense I had set up. I screamed like I had never screamed before in my entire existence. Somehow through all of it her maddening laugh took an even sharper turn into Heck. And that is where the story begins. |

Disclaimer: This is MY story but the characters belong to Stephanie Meyer Chapter 1: Abrupt Changes “Angela!” I screamed, I saw her pretty head turn to look at me. A beautiful smile spread across her face instantly when she saw me. I ran towards her with as much speed as I could muster while wearing an incredibly bulky wedding dress. We both started to laugh as I stumbled into her open arms, almost knocking her over as well. After Angela had stopped laughing she looked at me with and eager gaze in her eyes which promised hours of eager and embarrassing question later that day, if she found me alone. We started to talk about collage and what I was going to do after I got out of Forks, you know, all the normal human stuff. I tried to make my lies as convincing as possible, after saying them for so long you would think that I would be good at repeating them. My eyes eventually started to wander around and look at the lavish decorations that were covering the Cullen’s mansion. They were truly amazing, giant pavilions, with what looked like chandeliers hanging from the middle of them to illuminate the walkway. At the end of the red carpet with gold threads that laced through it was an enormous alter for the local priest to conduct the wedding services. I could barely keep the tears from leaking out of my eyes as I realized that this would be the last time I would ever see my human friends again. "Belle?” The voice jerked me back to the present as I realized that I had not even been listening to the conversation I as having with Angela, I blushed profusely, “Oh! I am sorry Angela, it’s just that all this is just so overwhelming; I mean I just graduated and I am going to be moving away from here in a few days. I don’t know when I will see it all again.” I wiped the one tear that had slipped out of my eye away with annoyance. Suddenly I felt icy hands slip around my waist and I heard I soft chuckle when he realized that I had been crying. Angela looked over my shoulder at Edward, eyes widening at his perfection and told be breathlessly that she would be over by the wine table. “Bella” he cooed in my ear, “Why are you crying on our wedding day?” He was suddenly in front of me, looking into my eyes, stroking me face with a loving caress. My body was still trying to breathe when my brain decided to answer him, “I was just wondering about Jake.” I instantly saw his face harden into an impenetrable mask of calmness. “What I meant say was I am wondering if he will be ok after we leave” I quickly said to try and repair the damage I had done. He started to laugh his perfect laugh, I blushed again, “He is going to be fine Bells, after all he is a werewolf, they heal fast remember.” I put an annoyed expression on my face as he said this, “Stop it Edward, you know I don’t like it when you say things like that.” He lifted his hands in mock defense, “Let’s stop this pointless bickering, We Are Married!” he said, deliberately enunciating the last three words. I looked into his eyes, just now realizing that they were a deep golden color. “Edward, you know that you can’t bite me when you’re hungry.” He looked at me quizzically, then started to laugh “Bells you know that I wouldn’t put you in harm’s way I had anything to do in the matter! Anyways Jasper, Emmett, Rose and I are going hunting for a tiny bit later today, Alice thought it was a good idea for me leave you in her… shall we say, care for a bit. Just to get you prepped” I thought my eyeballs were going to fall out of my head, blushing exorbantly I stammered that I had to go and talk to my dad for a bit. While I was walking away I could hear Edward and Emmett laughing behind me. I finally made my way to were Charlie was standing, out of the circle of merriment. He looked at me and smiled, but it was a sad smile, he knew that I was going to be leaving soon and that I just hadn’t told him yet. “Hey Dad” I was smiling, “How do you like it?” I knew the answer before he said anything, “ Bella, I like parties about as much as you do, but I guess you have gotten married so I hope that you are enjoying yourself as much as possible.” I could still see the sadness in his eyes; he was just waiting for me to tell him the news. “Dad” I said, know this would hurt him “Edward has to pack first, but we plan on leaving tomorrow to get settled down at our dorms in collage” He suddenly became rigid, his eyes widening in surprise at the date of my departure. “But Bells,” he said “Aren’t you going to say bye to your friends?” I sighed; I didn’t remind him that I really didn’t have any friends here besides Angela. After this I doubted that Jake would want me anymore. Dad I have already said good bye to all of my friends, we had a farewell party a few days ago remember?” “Oh, What about Renee?” He asked, “I have told her already, she was cool with it” He was looking at the ground now, kicking some imagined pebble around. Suddenly I was lifted into the air, all the air choked out of me. Dimly I realized that I was being hugged by Charlie. I also realized with a greater shock that I could feel tears sliding down his face, onto mine. “Air!” Was all I could get out, he let go and I landed with an audibly thud on the ground. It wasn’t till I got up that I realized people were smiling as they watched me brush my gown off. I blushed furiously, making a mental note too hit Alice at least once today. I looked back at Charlie, the tears had stopped leaking from his eyes, “Dad” I said in a compassionate voice “It won’t be that bad without me, I can email you every day!” I tried to inject some hope into my words, I am not sure if succeeded but after a few moments his face lit up in a smile, “Sure Bells, now I just need to know how to work those damn computers” he let out a little chuckle. I laughed a bit then said “Well I am going to go find my…husband” God its weird saying that word. Charlie laughed again and gave me a little shove saying “Go have some fun Bella” My eyes widened at this remark and I stalked off in embarrassment. After a few hours of socializing and acting happy, I was finally able to break off from the party and go find my Edward. I went to his house and started to look around a bit, deciding a few moments later that he wasn’t going to be in here so I turned around, and walked into a very cold wall. I gasped and then promptly started to cough as the air caught in my throat. An icy hand started to softly his my back, trying to ease the congestion in my throat. “Jeez Bella you really need to calm down” that majestic voice seemed to ease my coughing somehow and I stood up straight again, leaning into his arms. We stayed in that position for I don’t know how long, finally I decided to look out the window and my eyes widened in surprise as I realized that dark had fallen and most if not all the guests had gotten tired and left. “Edward!” I said “You needed to be hunting right now! GO!” He smiled at me and said in a voice that was too beautiful, “And you my dear need to get ready for the trip” I groaned audibly then walked up the stairs towards Alice’s torture chambers. When I got to Alice’s room I knew that she would be sitting there, ready to pounce on me as soon as she thought I was ready. She was already standing by the chair with her instruments of cosmetics laying in perfect order on a table next to her. "Belle!” she chirped as she danced her way over to me, “We have to get you all cleaned up for tomorrow!” She said this in a tone of mock anger. I started to laugh “Alice I just want to go to bed” I complained, Alice looked at me in surprise, then smiled wickedly “Oh no you don’t missy, I am going to make you so beautiful that Edward will start drooling!” We both started to laugh at that last statement. As Alice was completely engrossed in doing my hair up in some early 18th century style she saw in a book, I was thinking about what I had just done to Jacob, how I had just caused my little sun implode on itself. Then I reconciled myself in the fact that he knew that he was fighting for a lost cause and he knew that it would only cause him pain, but he wasn’t one for clean breaks. I sighed, moving on to a slightly more uplifting thought, Renee was here but I hadn’t been able to see much of her lately, so I decided that I would see her and Charlie one last time before I would leave them forever. “Alice ?” I said “Do you think it would be possible for me to go and see my parents alone for bit tonight?” I felt her hands stop in my hair, “I mean just to say good-bye and things like that?” I heard her let out a sigh, “I suppose that wouldn’t be against the rules of slumber parties.” I thanked her and jumped out of my seat, sort of hopping to the door while trying to put my shoes on. I got to the door and stopped, “Alice?” I said “Would you mind so much if I took your car?” I turned around at the sound of something tinkling, just to get hit in the face with a pair of keys, “Bella,” she laughed “Try not to get a ticked, or die”. I started laughing too; I could still vaguely hear her as I left the house. I stepped into the garage, quivering with excitement as I unlocked the door and got into the leather upholstered inside of Alice’s car. Driving slowly out down the three mile driveway, finally getting to the end to it, I looked both ways to make sure no one was coming down the road in the either direction, it was empty. I pushed the pedal to the floor and in turn got pushed back into my seat as the car accelerated exponentially faster than I was used to. Great chunks of dirt flew out from under the wheels of the car as I jettisoned down the road at a lovely speed of 130 miles per hour. After a few seconds of that I finally let my foot off of the gas and let it coast down the road. I started to look around at the forest even though it was pitch black outside. My head smashed against an extremely hot pillow type thing right as I heard the car smash into something I hadn’t seen in the road. After a few minutes of absorbing what had just happened, I was able to undo my seat belt and step out of the car to look at the damage. I got to the front of the car and gagged as I saw half of a dear stuck under my car, and the other have a few yards away with its innards filling the space in between the two half’s. I turned around and ran towards the trees to lean against one of them as I threw up everything I had eaten at the wedding and possibly the things that I had eaten yesterday. After I was finished I started to breathe through my mouth to avoid the smell of the blood that was everywhere. Stumbling back to the rear end of the car and leaning against it, I tried to figure out what I was supposed to tell Alice when I got back to her house. I didn’t know exactly how far I had gone from the Cullen’s house but I figured that Charlie’s house was probably closer so I walked carefully around the dear pieces and made my way to Charlie’s house on foot. I hadn’t gotten very far before I started to feel the warm flow of blood slide down my face and drip onto the ground. “S***” I swore as I stopped and tried to find out where the blood was coming from. It was coming from the top of my forehead and the gash went back into my hairline a few inches, gunking up my hair. “S***” I said again as I started to tear a piece of cloth from my shirt and wrap it around my head, trying to staunch the flow of blood. I was already feeling woozy from the stench of the blood so I decided to keep on walking, trying to get clear of the smell. I was still feeling a bit dazed after walking for about 10 minutes, but the clean air was helping so I had decided to keep walking when I felt an unusual amount of heat radiating from something behind me. I stopped, about to turn around, when I heard a grunting sound and something hard smashed the back of my legs causing me to collapse and let out a scream of pain when something grabbed my shirt and hoisted me onto its shoulder and started to lope into the forest. I was vibrating with fear and pain as it carried me deeper into the forest, I started to struggle but stopped as I felt wind rushing past my face, my side smashing into a tree. I tried to scream but I didn’t have any air left in me, trying to breathe in but felt several stabbing pains in my chest. I didn’t care, all I knew was that I needed to get away from this thing and needed air. After what seemed like an eternity I was finally able to get a small breath of air into my system, “Bells, it’s good to finally see you” My breathing stopped again, I knew this voice, the voice that had kept me alive all those months ago when Edward left me. “Jacob?” I answered in a pained voice “Why are you doing this to me?” I tried to look up from the forest floor but stopped when a jagged pain ripped through my body. “Why am I doing this to you… Do you have any idea what kind of pain you have caused me” He said in a voice that had a deadly edge to it. I still couldn’t see him at all, I couldn’t move, “Jacob please, you have to listen to me, I told you this would happen many times before this, but you wouldn’t believe me” My voice broke at the end from the pain of breathing. A hand grabbed the front of my shirt and threw me onto my back, I gasped and my eyes flew open from the pain of landing on my back, a suddenly cool breeze flitted through that tatters of my shirt as I realized that it had been ripped open from the force of the toss. I could finally see Jacob though; he was towering above me like a monolithic Greek God, his bare body was muscle-bound to the point of incredulity. His face was like a piece of granite for all the emotion it let out, but it was his eyes that really grabbed my attention. They were icy, I realized that he didn’t care about me anymore, he didn’t care about what he was about to do to me. I whimpered as I looked into his eyes, trying to cover my bare chest with my hands, trying to roll up into a ball, but stopped when my body screamed in pain. I jerked in almost physical pain when he started to laugh; it was a cruel and unyielding laughter. My mind conjured up something he had said a long time ago “You would be better off DEAD!” I shuttered again, as he shoved his burning hands under the waistline of my pants and gave a mighty tug and ripped them off, causing me to scream in pain as I felt my lungs being punctured by the sharp objects in my chest. He grabbed my legs and through them open and laid down on top of me, my eyes were wide with pain and the knowledge of what he was doing to me. Then I felt his hand on my face as he forced me to look into his eyes. The last thing I heard before he entered me was “This will be your last human experience” I screamed as the pain originating from my loins tore through me, and then sweet oblivion took me in her loving embrace. |

Disclaimer: These are not my Characters, they are Stephanie Meyers. But this is MY story Chapter 2: Ascension Agony rampaged through my broken body, never giving me a moment’s peace. Despite the frigid temperature of the night, my naked body was slick with sweat. I knew that I should try to cover myself but I couldn’t bring myself to do anything as images of what had just occurred tore through my mind, refusing to let themselves be shoved back into the shadows of my mind. The intense heat, a crushing weight, groping hands, something… pushing itself into me with incredible force. Whimpering, I tried to curl into a ball, too somehow shield myself from these playbacks. The whimper turned into a scream of pain as my broken vertebrae started to shift, pinching the sensitive nerves. I twitched as I became aware of the presence of icy fingers probing the length of my body. As they neared my chest they suddenly became very careful, almost hesitant to touch me. They paused over the left side of my ribs, becoming inanimate. An icy feeling started to soak into my chest, permeating throughout the rest of my body, dampening the pain of breathing minimally. Muted voices burrowed their way through my last and only defense, a deadening haze that had done what it could to protect my mind against the horrors that had been visited upon my body. A disturbingly hollow gurgling sound coming from deep within my chest started to interfere with the voices, not that I cared what they had to say, but they were oddly comforting. Something caught in my throat, clogging my airway and triggering my body’s natural reflexes. A choking whimper of pain escaped my throat as I felt a tearing sensation inside my chest. Warm liquid filled my mouth and started to leak down the left side of my face, leaving a hot trail behind it. The icy hands were now moving with incredible speed, then they were gone, only to reappear clamped around my thighs. Another pair of hands grabbed my wrists; suddenly the wind was flying past my body, turning the sweat that covered my body into an ice sheet. “Keep her as still as possible” I heard someone yell from in-between my legs “You just to your part, I will do mine!” I thought that I recognized these voices from somewhere, but I couldn’t think straight. I couldn’t take a breath, liquid was now leaking down both sides of my face. It felt like I was sinking into a black pool of water, I couldn’t see or hear anything. I couldn’t feel the icy hands that were holding me together anymore. I was dying. The wind stopped as suddenly as it started, but wherever we were it had an almost oppressive feeling of safety blanketing it. Someone was yelling in an urgently disturbing voice for a person named Carlisle, an image floated up into my only semi conscious mind bearing a picture of an individual who was too young and beautiful to be able to do anything to help me, but a rock solid confidence in his eyes said otherwise. A sharp intake of air alerted me to the presence of a new arrival to the audience that now surrounded the cool table I was laying on. A low murmur interrupted the silence, whoever was speaking they were saying the words too quickly for me to decipher in my weakened state. I tried to take in a small amount of air and stopped when I felt something blocking my airway again, I couldn’t get enough of the sweet air into my lungs to cough. The murmuring sounds of the voices started to fade away, my vision narrowed, unseeing eyes opened wide at the agony that shot through my chest as my ribs ripped larger holes into my lungs as I rolled onto my side, feeling more than hearing the grating sounds that were coming from my back I stopped my attempt at draining my throat. Pairs of cold hands quickly flipped me over onto my intact side and I felt the warm trickle leak out of my mouth, my vision slowly returning as I dragged in gasps of air, moaning audibly as my chest screamed in torment. Something stepped into my line of sight, blocking my view of Edwards piano, sharp daggers of pain staved into my neck, arms and thighs in a flash instant. Screaming at the unexpected pain, I tried to get out of this place the was inflicting an excruciating amount of burning pain. Cold hands clamped down on my hands and feet like cuffs, restraining me to the point of absolute stillness. Amid the flaming pain I felt a sharp sting on my arm; I slowly sank into the black, icy water. The drugs that had been introduced into my body had put me into a coma like sleep, hearing nothing, feeling nothing. They hadn’t affected my mind at all, I couldn’t stop thinking about some of the events that had turned what should have been one of the happiest days of my human life into a nightmare that I couldn’t possibly have thought up on my own. “JACOB DID THIS TO ME!” her voice screamed at me, dripping with hatred, “WHY DID THIS HAPPEN?!” “I don’t know…” I tried answering, reminding me of when Edward had left me so long ago. “YOU DON’T KNOW?!” She screamed in a tone so filled with malice, sudden realization hit me. I knew that voice, but it had been so warped with hatred that I hadn’t recognized it immediately. It was my voice. I was starting to get angry with this …thing in my head, “Who do you think you are? What gives you the right to scream at me in MY head?!” I jerked backwards in surprise as she started to howl with laughter, she stopped abruptly, looking at me intently. “Do you honestly not see me for what I am?” Her grotesquely amused look transformed into a cynical smile as she saw the horror that forced itself onto my face. Her voice took on a condescending tone, “You created me Bella, You forced me into being, I was made from the power of your hatred, your agony and your terror.” Suddenly I was running getting away from this thing in my head was my first priority, running as fast as I could trust my clumsy human body to go, I ran away from her, terror causing tears to leek from my eyes. When I couldn’t feel my legs moving anymore, I stopped to rest and try to make sense of what just happened. Something small but hard smashed into my jaw, causing me to stumble back and trip over my own feet. My head hit the ground with a dull thud, I tried to find what had hit me when a hand grabbed my neck and twisted my head to look her in the face. “I am going to leave you alone… for now.” She said in a cruel tone. “But don’t think that you will get out of this unscathed.” A sadistic look entered her eyes as she started to laugh, letting go of my throat, she stood and walked around my body so that she was standing above me. Still laughing as her foot streaked towards my head. My eyes flew open as I flinched from an imaginary blow, I stopped moving. Taking everything in a single glance, I knew that I was in the Cullen’s house, realization of both what had happened and what was happening crashed into my reality. Bringing control to my thoughts, I realized that I could hear someone talking in the next room. “No! You must not do that Edward! Think of the repercussions…” I stopped listening to the conversation when I heard my Edward’s name; nearly overwhelming emotions tore at me, forcing me off the table. Sitting up I caught the blanked that fell to my waist, re wrapping it around me as stood up. Looking at my body as I put the towel on I realized that it was different, my skin was hard like marble, and my eyes took in the smallest details of everything I looked at. I paused when I got to the table I had been laying on, remembering the fateful 18th birthday party the Cullen’s had thrown for me. Examining the table, I realized that it had undergone a transformation for the worst. There were four thick steel cuffs on every corner of the table, there held on by inch thick bolts going into the table, but as I continued my examinations I noticed that the bolts had been bent in half while restraining an unimaginable force. Shuttering as I gazed at the rest of the table, noticing the deep gouge marks that marred its dull surface. Tearing my gaze away from the table as more of the puzzle fell neatly into place, the greatly improved eyesight, the reflexes and the lack of injuries. I am a Vampire. My face changed from slightly frightened to grimly triumphant in a split second. I sprinted toward the sound of the voices, smiling as I saw my blurred movements. Stopping at the entrance of the other room, I saw Edward beside Jasper as they talked very quietly together. I couldn’t wait any longer, running towards Edward in a quick burst of speed I flung myself at him, seeing his face turn to look at me, his eyes widening in surprise as our bodies collided with an earsplitting crack. My lips found his face as we fell to the floor, one hand running through his hair as the other traced the well defined muscles of his chest. I vaguely remembered hitting the floor with him underneath me, but a sudden surge of euphoria shot through my body as realized I didn’t need to stop my lustful onslaught to take a breath. A deep booming laugh interrupted my concentration on Edwards face, almost purring when I felt his hands moving down my back. As I looked up I put on an expression of annoyance, Emmett was filling the doorway with his massive figure, his body shaking with laughter. “It’s good to see that you’re back to normal, well emotionally anyways.” I smiled, “I am going to have to get used to this quickly” My eyes flickered over to Edwards face. Emmett saw my glance, punched Jasper’s shoulder and they both started to laugh. I smiled, would have blushed if it was possible, standing up from my straddling position over Edward, I watched him gracefully get back into the standing position, eyeing his crystalline skin through the hole I had torn in his shirt. I moved my gaze back to his face and stopped when I saw a very troubled look in his eyes, sudden images of unsurpassed clarity assaulted my mind. My Broken human body, lying on the steel table, completely naked. Three separate pairs of puncture marks, one on my neck and one either side of the inner slopes of my thighs. The image of my blood and sweet covered body bending at angles I hadn’t thought possible, the sounds of me screaming words incoherently except for one, Jacob. I screamed that word with a breathtaking amount of hatred. My wrists and ankles bound to the table with heavy steel cuffs. My bloodied hands shoving their fingers into the steel table top, leaving long trenches in the metal. I must have had a frightening expression on my face when I could see through my eyes again. The tension in the room was almost tangible as all three of them regarded me with varying levels of alarm. Calmness and safety washed through my body, easing the crippling sense of shock at what I had just seen. “What just happened?!” My voice cracked as it squeezed past the blockage in my throat, I looked at all three of them, my eyes begging for answers. Edward was instantly in front of me, circling his arms around me, whispering comforts into my ear. After a few minutes, I looked into his topaz colored eyes, seeing my fearful expression reflecting back at me. He stepped back and looked at Jasper, then Emmett, “We think that it might be your gift making its first appearances.” Fear left my face, immediately replaced with a joyful eagerness, “My gift?” I asked questioningly. |

Disclaimer: The character that this story contains are not mine, they are Stephanie Meyers. But the Story is mine. Chapter 3: Memories Edward had been acting strangely since my gift had made its first appearances, though he had never brought it up, I could still see the questions burning in his eyes. Lying on our bed, I let the feeling of satisfaction role through my body as I stared at the ceiling, thinking about these past few days. Edward had needed to go hunting again, taking the majority of the Cullen family with him, “Bella, I know that you still don’t like the sight of blood” he had said to me a few hours ago,” But it is necessary to keep our strength up, to keep us from killing innocent people.” I shuttered at what he had said, remembering the bet that Emmett and Jasper had made. I hadn’t killed anyone yet, which was extraordinary according to Carlisle; I also hadn’t gone out of the house since the awakening. My thoughts drifted again, floating effortlessly through my mind, they landed on a subject that I had not wanted to think about though. What were Charlie and Renee going to do? I was sure that they had been informed of my untimely death or something along those lines, but I had never brought the subject up with Edward or anyone else. A wave of homesickness stumbled through me; I wanted to see my parents again, before we left this small town of fantasy. Getting off the bed with a surprising sense of weightlessness, I sprinted down the stairs at speeds that at one point had amazed me. I stopped at the head of the stairs, overlooking the room that contained Edward’s piano, when I heard a few notes being played with hesitancy. My eyes stopped on the pixie like figure sitting on the piano bench, her fragile looking hands poking dejectedly at the keys. I hadn’t seen or heard Alice since the accident, which was extremely unusual for her, it made me think that she was taking the blame for what had happened to me on herself. This worried me greatly, I couldn’t stand seeing Alice in such pain, and we were sisters after all. I flew down the stairs, barely making any noise as I stopped behind Alice, putting my hands around her shoulders, “It’s alright Alice, it wasn’t your fault.” I felt her small body jerk out of my hands with surprising speed, my eyes following body as it blurred across the room with shock. Alice was looking at me now, her eyes wide with surprise, “How did you do that Bella?!” I looked at her for a moment, trying to decide if she was joking, she wasn’t , “Do what Alice?” She looked at me with a confused expression for a few moments, her face abruptly changed to one of extreme annoyance. “I can’t see you any more Bella, I thought I was going to be alone today, and then you showed up behind me like a ghost saying that it wasn’t my fault.” My eyes widened at this unexpected piece of news, “You can’t see me?” “I can’t see you, hear you or smell you Bella, it’s like you’re not here!” I stared at her beautiful face intently, not sure what to think of these odd manifestations “Do you think the others are having the same problems?” I asked She was still staring, examining me from across the room, I couldn’t take the silence any longer, I triggered my gift. It felt like I was reaching my hand out and plucking roses from a vase, only I grabbed memories. I watched as my hands skittered across the ivory keys on the piano, not playing many of them but touching all of them. Everyone was gone, hunting, I don’t know how they could do that and leave Bella here alone. My hands started to tremble when I thought of that name, I had been the key factor in ruining her life, if I hadn’t given her permission to go and say goodbye to her parents then this wouldn’t have happened. Smooth, icy hands wrapped themselves around my shoulders, “It’s alright Alice, it wasn’t your fault.” I quickly skipped backwards into her memories An unsettling feeling that had been festering in my stomach while I cleaned up the mess that Bella’s wedding had created became a heavy weight in my stomach. Bella was supposed to have come home hours ago, it was getting dark outside. I told myself to calm down and do the logical thing and look for her, taking steady breaths I concentrated on the beautiful but terribly uncoordinated girl, my vision leapt out of my control as it sought her out. I was stunned as my vision hit a blank wall, the worried feeling that had been festering in my stomach suddenly blazed into life, I couldn’t see her, which meant one of two things. She was dead or with a werewolf. I tried containing the fire in my stomach, but I knew that Edward would kill me if anything happened to Bella while she was in my care. Opening my eyes, I sped down the road, my body was a blur, I stopped as I caught the scent of blood coming from up the road. Worry exploded into hysteria, hating myself for ever letting her out of the house, my feet barely touching the ground as I ran towards the source of the smell. What I saw when I flew around the bend made my mouth twist into a rictous snarl, blood coated everything, my car had been totaled by what vaguely resembled a deer. I looked through the opened door to the driver’s seat, there was a spray of blood slicing across the inside of the windshield. I could feel my body shaking as I tried to get a hold on the anger and fear that tore through my body, testing the air as soon as I made it out of the blood bath, catching the abnormally sweet scent of Bella’s blood mixed with the abhorrent musk of a werewolf, I looked down. Small droplets of blood were spattered on the ground in front of me, they were concentrated into a small circle, like she had been standing in this spot for a while. Failing to find anymore drops of her blood, I decided to follow the smell of the werewolf into the forest. The air cleared around me as I ran into the forest, I was immediately aware that Emmett and Jasper were somewhere up ahead, doubling my efforts; I stumbled into an all too real nightmare. Bella’s scent was everywhere, I slowly walked up to Jasper’s crouched figure, not wanting to see what his hands were probing. The naked, broken body of my newest sister greeted my eyes, sweat, blood and bruises covering every inch of skin, burning its image into my head. A horror drenched wail of pain escaped my throat, causing the Emmett and Jasper to turn their heads in my direction. Faces that were straining against the sweet scent of Bella’s blood, looking coldly into my face, Jasper started speaking “The entire left side of her rib cage has been shattered, punctured lungs, both her legs are broken as well as her nose.” He paused his assessment as Bella’s body jerk in a spasm of pain and blood leaked from her mouth. “The worst injury by far is her back; it’s broken in three places.” Her body started shaking as she tried to roll on her side; a gargled scream tore itself from her throat, followed by more blood. “We need to get her out of here NOW!” I broke the image off at this point, doubting that I could stand seeing myself during the transformation again. “Now do you see why it was my fault?!” The pleading and sorrowful tone of Alice’s voice dragged me back to the present, looking at her with an expression of absolute sorrow, I responded slowly “You think that it was your fault that I got raped?” I had been successful in burying these memories in a grave over the last few days, not wanting to think of what I would do if I ever got within striking distance of Jacob. Sprinting across the room, I wrapped my arms around Alice’s still figure, lending what strength I had to her. I chuckled grimly as I stroked my fingers through her short hair, “If it is anyone’s fault, it would be my burden to carry Alice, not yours. I am the one that befriended a werewolf despite your warnings.” I felt her body slump into mine, her head leaned against my shoulder, her body shaking against mine. I wasn’t sure how to respond so I stayed were I was, silent as I tried to think of something that would comfort my sister. “Alice!” I said with as much excitement as I could inject into it, “My repertoire of cloths is in terrible shape, would you like to come shopping with me?” She lifted her head, staring into my eyes, a look of hopeful joy spread across her face, “I was wondering when you would ask that” She was eyeing the clothes I was wearing now, one of Edward’s shirts, and a pair of Alice’s pants that I had found. “How do you stand wearing those things?” she screeched, her eyes wide “We are taking a day trip to Seattle, and buying you a wardrobe, and I will drive.” she said in a tone of finality. |

Disclaimer: These characters are not mine, they belong to Stephanie Meyer. The story is MINE. Chapter 4: Broken Barriers (Contains Mature Content!) Alice and I had been shopping around Seattle for the past day or so, driving from mall to mall, I was running out of patience. The entire back seat and the trunk were packed with neatly folded clothes ranging from lingerie to sets of shoes to gowns. I wasn’t sure how Alice had abstained from feeding for so long but I had started to feel the urge to drink something since before we had left our house. We were walking through an expensive looking mall as I felt my throat starting to itch, it was an interesting feeling. I put my hand to my throat, trying to rub the sensation away when I felt my throat contract in agony as the thirst broke through whatever barrier had been holding I back, my hand shot out and latched onto a nearby checkout counter, steadying my swooning body. “Alice” my voice was a strangled whisper “we need to leave now!” The clerk was looking at me with a confused expression on his face; I could smell his blood flowing inside his body. Taking a step backwards in fear as I turned my head to look at him, an involuntary snarl escaped my throat as my hand clenched, taking a chunk of the counter with it. His eyes dropped to where my hand had been, widening when he saw the missing chunk, powdered in my hand. A small hand clamped onto my arm, restraining me, I turned my head trying to see who was holding me. Alice’s straining face looked back into mine, “DON’T breathe Bella! STOP!” She pulled my arm back with a sharp tug when I resisted, causing me to stumble in surprise. Molten fury burst through me, originating from somewhere deep inside me, throwing my restrained arm forward with as much strength as I could muster, I saw Alice’s small body smash through the counter. My hand grabbed the cashier’s head and lifting him with ease, bringing his face close to mine, “You will remember none of this, I promise” I forced my mind into his and systematically destroyed every memory of Alice and myself. Something had slammed into the side of my head, dazing me, I felt myself drop the cashier as the floor started moving very fast underneath me. My head lolled to the side, I glimpsed four hunched figures in a deserted coul-de-sac, my vision narrowed seeming to focus on them, and then went black. Laughter, mixed with a touch of madness caused my eyes to fly open, taking in my surroundings I let the breath I hadn’t known was there out of my lungs. The leather interior of the BMW was a welcome sight to my frantic eyes. Remembering what I had done in the mall cause me to sit up in my seat and look at Alice. Her torn clothes, flattened hair and otherwise battered body started tremors running through me, I had thrown her through a checkout counter but that shouldn’t have resulted in this much damage to a vampire. Alice turned her head towards me, eyes burning with rage, “What the Blank was THAT BELLA!?! Are you Trying to get attention? If so, you did.” My eyes went round from her tone the unanswered questions that burned in my mind, She looked at me, her anger dying down, only to replaced with genuine curiosity, “Do you not remember what happened?” her tone was cautious I shook my head in confusion, “Look at yourself Bella, look!” My eyes dropped to look at my body, the tight pants and tank top were covered with a wide spread spattering of blood, my hands were caked with it, I felt it on my face. I realized the hunger that had burst inside of me at the mall had receded, but I could still feel it, gnawing at my insides. My body was visibly shaking as the answers fell into place, my first feeding, and the first taste of human blood. Alice was still looking at me; her expression was one of compassion as she watched me figure it out. “Those were your instincts taking control, you were starving yourself Bella.” Remembering the hideous laughter that had brought me back to reality, I knew instinctively that whoever had been laughing wasn’t my instincts, trying hard to remember where I had heard that voice. We got back to our house to fast, Alice somehow managed to grab all the clothing in the car and hang it up in Edward’s room before I got there. When I reached my room I saw that she was double checking the arrangement of clothes that hung in the new addition to Edwards’s room, a huge section that was built with a women’s needs in mind, it had been created for me as a present from Esme. Alice took one look at my face, saying nothing she left the room and shut the door, I made my way across the room towards the enormous bed Edward and I shared now, leaving the blood soaked clothes on the floor in my wake. Overwhelming grief caused me to collapse on the large bed face down, not breathing, turning my head so that I could stare into the cold diamond imbedded into my bracelet. Time flew past me unnoticed as I lay there, trying carefully to think about nothing. Soft hands wrapped themselves around my bare shoulders, slowly turning me so that I lay on my back. I tore my eyes away from the diamond too stare into a face that made it pale by comparison, “Edward…” I breathed His soft lips cut off what I had been about to say as they pressed against mine, I wrapped my arms around his back, pulling him closer to my body. I had needed someone to be with more than I had realized, never wanting to let go, I broke the kiss and tucked my head against his well sculpted chest. I felt his hand brushing the strands of hair out of the way so he could get a better look at my face, his other hand cupped my chin, forcing me to look into his majestic eyes. “Bella, you can’t be so hard on yourself, you must take care of your bodily needs before you start to merge with humans” I looked up when I heard the note of amusement in his voice, confusion spread over my face. “Alice let me see what you did back there, I must say that you were very thorough.” He said, his eyes wide with amazement. “This talent of yours will prove to be very helpful in the upcoming years.” “Are you saying that I will have to kill more people then?” I mumbled into his chest A low chuckle vibrated his chest “No Bella, you will just have to come hunting with us more often, it’s more fun than it sounds” His hand was sliding down my back, it felt even better now that the cold was gone, my arms that encircled his breathtaking body pulled me closer to him, my lips found his throat, kissing it lightly. Groaning as his hands continued to caress my body, “If it is anywhere near this much fun, then count me in” I said through my preoccupied lips His hands grew bolder as they slid down my body, cupping my breasts in his hands, squeezing them gently he groaned, his lips moving to my neck, being careful to touch every inch of me. “Edward, I need you” I whispered My arms unwrapped themselves and started undoing the buttons that held his shirt together. Edward hand hesitated for an instant on my lower back. A laugh escaped my throat at his pause; I gave up on the buttons and with a small jerk, ripped his shirt off. “Eager are we?” his voice was full of amusement “You would never be able to grasp how eager I am” I said while tracing my hands over his perfect chest. True to my words, I slipped my hand down and unbuttoned his hiking pants, sitting up as I pulled them off. Never in my wildest dreams had I imagined him looking this beautiful. Lying on his side, his head supported by his arm, he was looking at me, his eyes full of what I could only describe as a wild lust. Looking at him, I was suddenly nervous, not sure what to do after I got past this point. He rolled onto his back, still looking admiringly at my body. He must have noticed the hesitancy; he got off the bed and stood up, walking over to where I was sitting on the bed. “We don’t have to do this now Bella..” He left his words hanging in the air Anger flashed through me, I stood up in front of him, raising my arms.. “We are this close and you want to wait!?” His eyes widened in mock pain as I shoved him back onto the bed, a slow smiles spread across his face as the look of uncontrolled lust shot back into his eyes. I laid myself on his marble body, slowly moving down is chest with a line of soft kisses; I could feel him starting to purr as I progressed further. I grasped him in my hand, hearing his breathing catch, sat up then swung my leg over so I was straddling him. His eyes were closed in pleasure as I pushed him inside of me; I gasped, my eyes flew open, as I felt him plunge deeper. |

Disclaimer: the characters that I warp into my own perspective are owned by Stephanie Meyer, however the story is mine. Chapter 5: Calm Before The Storm I lay on the messy and slightly broken bed, reminiscing about the night before, trying to remember every detail and burn it into my mind. Light footsteps stopping at my door that could only belong to Alice caused and interruption in my revelry, vaguely I remembered that I was still naked as the day I was born, both times. The door opened quietly as Alice stepped through, I saw her glance around the hectic room in wonderment, a smile bloomed across her face “Well it looks like you two had fun!” she had to cover her mouth as a burst of laughter escaped her small body. I started laughing along with her, it was the first time I had truly felt free of burdens for what felt like a long time. Alice looked at me with a smile that betrayed her deep amusement, “So, when are you going to put some clothes on?” “Maybe sometime after tonight” after saying this I groaned for emphasis I lifted my head in time to see Alice’s face contort with annoyance, “No, we are getting you into some new clothes now” she was looking at the scattered and bloody articles of clothing lying on the floor, seemingly tossed there at random. Slowly getting to my feet, I walked over to my section of the bedroom, Alice was already there putting together outfits for me to choose from. She stopped and turned to look at me with a speculative look on her face, then she grabbed few different outfits and pushed me out of the way so that she could lay them on my disorderly bed. “Here are your choices for today; I couldn’t decide what mood you are in so I picked a few for you to decide.” Her eyes moved down my body with a professional look, her fingers started tapping against her thigh, “Were going to need give you a makeover sooner or later..” My hand stopped their motions, hovering over a small tank top and mini skirt when I heard her say this, sighing with regret at the upcoming hours of sitting in a chair with Alice’s hands moving carefully through my hair. “Alice, were did Edward go?” Without looking I knew that Alice had become a statue behind me, she had been avoiding this subject. Fear wormed its way into my stomach as a long pause followed, not knowing if she was going to answer my question. “I can’t see him..” Even with my vampirically enhanced hearing I could barely understand what she said, “What do you mean ‘you can’t see him’?! My words came out with more force than I had meant them to, Alice’s body looked like it had been carved from a stone wall, her eyes were clouded over with the effort that she was putting into her ability. “I can’t see him!” Her voice was panicky now, I felt the worm of fear in my stomach expanding forcefully. Alice’s eyes snapped back into reality and locked onto mine. “What is he doing?!” it was an irrational question, but I needed to know. The top and miniskirt wrapped around my head, “If we are going to find Edward, you need to be covered up.” My body blurred in motion as I put the clothes on, not stopping to check on my hair, Alice and I flew out of my room, we were in the BMW within a matter of seconds. “Were we going?” “No one in the house has seen Edward all day, they assumed that he was with you.” Alice’s hand flashed into her pocket, calling Edward before the phone reached her ear, her eyes widened in what I assumed to be relief, then her whole face fell and she handed the phone to me. “Edward?” my voice was off pitch “Hello Bella, please, don’t be alarmed by my absence, I just have some…loose ends to tie up.” The connection was severed. Staring straight ahead, I let the phone drop from my suddenly limp fingers, I had heard that tone before. I knew where he was and I also knew what he was doing. “Alice, get me to La Push. Now.” My voice was dead. I heard the engine of the car shooting into the higher RPM’s as the car sped towards my destination. The car was perfectly silent as we raced down the highway, it was about a 20 minute drive to La Push from the Cullen’s residents if you were going the speed limit, about 5 minutes going the speed that we were, but it still seemed like eternity. The car screeched to a halt at the boundary line, I looked at Alice who shook her head in hesitancy. My nostrils flared as I took a calming breath, opening the door, I was a blur as my feet hit the ground, I could feel him now, somewhere close by. Something felt like it was trying to force its way into my conscious mind, I tried to ignore it as I concentrated on the feeling of were Edward was but it was resilient and it was starting to distract me. I knew exactly where he was now, his presence was almost palpable, but there were multiple other signatures now. Fear raced through me, pushing my legs even faster than they should be able to move, I broke through the dense forest into a clearing that brought memories flooding into my mind, only to be incinerated in the inferno of the blinding horror that had taken control of my body, disabling movement. The sight that greeted my vision was the product of the darkest nightmares, Edward surrounded by four bestial wolves. He was a blur of motion, I could hear the painful yelping of the wolves as his granite fists came in contact with their hardened muscles, but he wasn’t the only one attacking. My throat constricted as one of the wolves jaws got a grip on his right shoulder and clenched, biting through the skin and bone, taking a large chunk out of shoulder. I heard his bestial growl role out of Edward’s chest, he was moving even faster now, one of his hands grabbed the arm of the grayish wolf and gave a mighty pull. I heard the sound of rending flesh and the popping of the wolfs shoulder as it’s arm was ripped out, the elongated howl of intense pain and the flashing arc of blood, the sudden cracking sound as its own appendage hit is head with a resounding crunch, the wolf dropped like a lifeless sack of flesh. When Edward attacked the wolf he had given up his defensive stance, the other wolves saw this opening and exploited it. Three pairs of jaws clamped down on both of Edward’ s arms and his leg, everyone of them taking out huge chunks of flesh as they jumped back to avoid the blurring hands. Severely crippled, Edward tried to break through the circle of adrenalin pumped wolves, only to have them dart in and take small chunks his body with their razor sharp teeth. He turned around, only to stumble in mid stride when he saw me standing there, staring at him with a look of absolute horror on my face. The largest wolf dived at Edward, his jaws latching onto Edward’s lower leg, the wolf’s head jerked sideways, severing the leg at the knee. Edward hit the ground, and the pack howled in victory as they pounced on his prone body, tearing it to shreds. I watched as the wolves ravaged his body, the feeling of numbness I had experienced before settled over me. Edward’ s eyes looked at me with pain, but something else in his eyes distracted me, he was telling me something with that look, something that I had fooled myself into thinking I would never have to worry about again. I Love You. Goodbye. His message was cut off abruptly as the brown wolf’s jaws crushed Edward’s skull. A new fear jumpstarted my body, a fear for my wellbeing, my body was operating on autopilot as it turned around and darted into the forest, making sure that no one could find me. My sight blurred as I ran through the forest, not caring where I was going, my only thoughts were of my safety. Something hit my shoulder, hard, knocking my off my feet, I slammed into a tree, leaving a deep gouge in the wood. Lying on the ground, perfectly still, I could hear the harsh breathing of a wolf above me. The numbness that had sheltered my mind abruptly shattered as a spear of pain blazed through my mind, obliterating any thought that got into its path. “Bella, Bella, Bella…what are we doing? She said in a petulant voice” That voice, I remembered it now, the day I was raped I had heard it. I heard a low chuckle coming from above me. “I am going to be taking control of this body from now on Bella, don’t try to resist, you can’t do anything to stop me.” The voice in my head was seductively low, it dripped with menace. Blazing pain ravaged my body as it felt like something in my mind was being torn asunder, my body started to convulse, hands digging into the ground, I blacked out. Something sharp was grabbing my shoulder, rolling me over on the ground, I opened my eyes to look into the face of a wolf. I wrinkled my nose at the awful scent that assaulted my nose, looking into the wolfs eyes curiously, “I am not sure which wolf you are, but there is a message that I need you to give Jacob,” The wolf was looking at me curiously now, its brown eyes searching my face as my knee slammed into its chest, throwing it into a tree. My body blurred as I ran to were the wolf had landed, it was still trying to get on its feet when my foot slammed into its thigh, shattering it. My hand closed around it’s throat as it dragged in air to howl in pain, cutting off its air supply, while my other hand hammered into the wolfs jaw. An enjoyable crunching sound issued from the wolfs head as its jaw was ripped from its broken sockets, “Now that you are in obvious pain, I will give you the message. The Genocide has begun. “ My hand clenched and tore a gaping hole in the wolfs throat, torrents of hot blood gushed from the mortal wound, I stood up from the carnage and ran towards the clearing were Edward was. The warm blood that covered me dried quickly as I ran, my head was clear, I didn’t think of anything but Edward. The meadow was empty when I got there; the wolves had left, taking the body of Edward with them to finish the kill. I stood on the spot were Edward had been, were he had conveyed his last words to me, looking at the ground; something sparkled in a brief snatch of sunlight, catching my eye. Bending down to get a closer look, I realized that it was a part of Edward that the wolves had missed in their hasty cleanup, my hand gently closed around it. Alice was sitting in the BMW, her head was against the wheel, I noticed her body shaking as I got into the passenger’s seat, it seemed like an almost inconsequential thing to notice after all that had just happened. She looked at me, her eyes going wide when they saw me, my front completely covered in blood, my perfectly calm face, the small piece of Edward that I was holding tenderly in my hands caused her to gag. I stared at her with blank eyes for what seemed like eternity, she finally looked away as her face crumpled with disgust and sorrow. “Let’s go home Alice…” |

Disclaimer: the characters that I warp into my own perspective are not owned by me, however the story is. Chapter 6: Fractures Staring through the tinted windows at the green vegetation that surrounded our speeding car, not really seeing anything as my mind tried to recoup from the recent atrocities that had assaulted it. One of the hundreds of images that were ransacking my mind stood like a monument of absolute evil, turning itself into the prominent sequence in my head. Edward’s pain filled eyes staring at me with absolute adoration as his body was torn apart by a pack of bestial wolves. My blood coated body was perfectly still as we continued our journey home, the only exceptions were my hands, they moved incessantly on their own accord, constantly palpating the one object that kept me anchored to this world. His crystalline hand had been lacerated by the vicious teeth of the wolves, my fingers dug into these wounds, burning the feel of them into my mind, as I explored the gouges in his otherwise flawless flesh I suddenly felt the muscles contract as his hand tightened around mine. My delving paused as my head dropped to stare at the hand in utter surprise, an intense feeling of euphoria tore through the numbness, a delighted giggle escaped my throat as a smile spread across my face. Jerking my head up to look into Alice’s panic stricken eyes, “Alice!” my voice cracked with joy, “His hand moved! He. Is. ALIVE!” My hands continued their stroking as laughter tore itself from my body, untainted joy burning through my system at incredible speeds. I was finally able to get enough of a reign on my laughter to take in my surroundings, Emmett’s monster jeep dominated my view of the garage, still laughing as I opened the door, idly wondering were Alice had gone to in such a hurry as I slowly walked towards my house. Grabbing the door handle and pushing down I hesitated with opening the door when I saw that my hands were caked in reeking wolf blood, pushing the door open slowly, I walked into the house as I tried to rub the flakes of blood off my arms, leaving a trail of dried blood chips behind me. Watching as my hand move along my arm, trying to remove the blood that coated it in layers, I slowly made my way to the stairs, my free hand still clutching Edwards with an unconscious death grip. A quivering intake of breath caused me to pause with my foot resting on the first stair as I looked over my shoulder, the majority of the Cullen’s were standing in a loose formation to the side of me, all staring at me and what I was carrying in my hand with perfectly emotionless expressions. “Hello everyone” A tenuous smile spread across me face, “It’s good to see that your all doing well…I am not feeling up to par myself so I think that I will be in my room if anyone wants me.” A plethora of emotions shattered their emotionless personas as they shot across every face watching me, ranging from blinding rage which contorted Emmett’s beautiful face into a livid snarl to Esme’s unfathomable sorrow, as her eyes locked onto what was in my hand, hands flew to her face, covering her mouth as she bent over clutching her stomach as a strangled, gut wrenching wail was torn from her chest. Clutching the hand to my chest as I stepped back in surprise at the power of the reactions that it had provoked, something inside of me snapped, my hand started twitching as if it needed to hit something, my family was getting angry at me for something that had been out of my control! My cutting tone sliced through Esme’s screams effortlessly, “Mom! Edward is not dead!” As I said this, I raised the hand that was holding Edwards up in front of me, his fingers entwined mine in a death grasp, a small smile spread across my face as I gently put the fingers of my other hand into the slash wounds that covered the back of his. In a short spasm, his fingers uncurled themselves from mine in a stretching motion. The room had gone dead silent as they all watched what I was doing with rapt horror, tearing my gaze away from his hand, I looked up into the eyes of my disgusted family, the small smile was cemented on my face, “See mom? He isn’t dead, we still have him…” Esme’s face had gone haggard, unable to exert the effort required to suppress the morbid emotions that raged through her, a hand gripped my arm in a way that brooked no nonsense. Twisting my head to look into the inflamed eyes of Jasper as I removed my fingers from the wounds, I felt his hand reunite with mine as I tucked it against my chest. Jasper jerked his head towards the stairs, his hand let go of me as he made his way up the stairs, the smile on my face grew even larger as an idea took root in my mind. Watching Jaspers heavily muscled back as I followed him, listening to the shattered moans of Esme as he led me into a room and closed the door, he turned to face me with a blurred motion as his fist slammed into my jaw, throwing me into the wall. Shaking my head in a daze as I felt his hands grab my shirt and throw me onto something soft, my blurred vision focused on Jaspers anger contorted face as he bend over me, “What have you done to yourself Bella?” his voice was perfectly calm, belying his expression Curling myself into a ball, trying to protect myself from his piercing gaze, tucking Edward’s hand against my chest “Why did you hit me, brother?” I forced my voice past the block of emotion in my throat. Uncomfortable minutes passed before I felt his soft hand touch my hair, stroking it, trying to convey his apologies through physical contact, “Do you realize what you have done to Esme? In all my years I have never witnessed one of us lose control like that.” My face crumpled as a deep sorrow erupted from some unknown crevice inside of me, A demented laugh escaped my throat, “Do you know what the wolves have done to me, Jasper? They have taken what I need to exist, and I can’t bring him back.” His hand stiffened as he felt my body start to shake with raw emotion, I had him were I needed him to be. My hand shot out from under me, slamming into his forehead and clamping down, his eyes widened with surprise as I let my power loose, his body stiffened as I effortlessly cut through his mental defenses, rampaging through his memories of loved ones and a host of other useless thoughts to his depository of combat knowledge. Forcing my power into his muscle memory, I started the process of copying these into me, throwing my head back in surprise, my eyes widened at the sheer bulk of knowledge being transferred into me, my body began to convulse as my muscles were forced to remember learning the hundreds of various fighting styles. After what seemed like an eternity, my hands rigid grasp softened, releasing his head, watching his unconscious body hit the floor with a hollow thud. A whimper of pain escaped my throat as my body began tearing its muscles apart and rebuilding them, giving it a toned look. My whimper turned into a full blown scream of pain, hands flying to my head, trying to hold it together as agony ripped through my skull, my howling stopped abruptly as my eyesight narrowed as I finally achieved unconsciousness. My body felt weightless as I drifted through the endless blackness of wherever I was, it didn’t feel good, not being in control of your own body. I recoiled in surprise, tearing me from the relaxed state I had fallen into as an ear piercing scream of anger shattered the calmness around me. “What have you done to me?! What have you done to my Family?! I blinked to bring the anger contorted face that floated inches above mine into focus, a look of annoyance bloomed across my face when I realized who it was that disturbed my rest. Floating an arms distance away from this poltergeist, I turned around to face her, “Do you really think that you will understand what I have done for your family Bella?” Her anger faltered then died as a confused look appeared on her face, “What are you talking about? Of course I would understand.” Gliding closer to, I cupped her innocent face in my hands, looking deep into her eyes. “I am molding our new family into a vengeful weapon, I will slaughter the wolves Bella” Her eyes widened at my steely tone of promise, her body was quaking with the implications of what I was saying, “You don’t have to kill all of them…all I want is Jacob” My eyes widened at her own shortsightedness, my fingers left bruised indents as they dragged down her face, My voice coming out in a tightly controlled whisper, “All you want is…Jacob?” My self control snapped, “ALL YOU WANT IS JACOB?!” I grabbed her hair in massive clumps and through her away from me, she landing soundlessly in a crumpled heap, “Did you ever stop to think about why Jacob did that to you?!” My foot flickered towards her, colliding with her stomach, forcing the air out of her lungs, “ Did you ever wonder why Jacob was able to do that do you?” Her feeble attempts at getting air back into her lungs continued unabated. I bent down, putting a look of understanding on my face as I brushed a strand of wild hair from her face, “If Sam had been opposed to Jacob’s plan, then he could have stopped it with but a thought, but he didn’t” unknowingly my hand had curled into a fist of hatred as the memories flooded through our minds, looking down at the prone figure in front of me, I realized that she too had seen the truth of it. Putting my lips to her ear, “Don’t try to stop me, I still have uses for you” |

Disclaimer: The Characters in this story do not belong to me, but the story does. Chapter 7 True Colors My eyes flew open as I sat up, taking in my surroundings as I got out of my bed, feet landing on the floor with what would have been a silent landing besides the hard pieces of blood that were shaken loose, making a hollow tinkling sound upon impact. I looked at what I held in my hand for the assurance that it was still there, breathing out a sigh of relief when my gaze fell on the object that had brought me back to life. Walking to the bathroom carefully so as to not shed anymore of the vile blood that coated my body, I stepped into the shower, twisting the handle with the red circle on it as far as I could without breaking it. The boiling water hit my smooth skin, immediately turning the crusty blood into a warm liquid that dripped off my body, my silently raging emotion were calmed by the warmth of the water as it slowly soaked into my skin. My hair, wet as it was, still managed to resemble a birds nest with its tangles. Running my hands through it helped a little, but if I was going to look presentable than I was going to need the touch Alice’s practiced hands. Stepping out of the shower as I grabbed a towel that was hanging on the wall next to me while peeling the now skintight, bloodstained clothes off me as I walked towards the closet, leaving a wet trail behind me. Alice had excellent taste when it came to clothes, but they were all to intricate for my personal preferences. Deciding to go simple again, I grabbed the leather lace up pants and a tight fitting, sleeveless top and hiking boots. After I had donned my outfit, I looked into the mirror that had been mounted above my sink, studying the reflection that stared back at me with dead eyes. My hair was beyond my skill to reconcile, shrugging to myself as I turned on my heels and walked through the mess on the floor without noticing it as I made my way towards the closed door. “Alice!” my high pitched voice carried itself through the house with ease. “Alice! Where are you? I need help with my hair…” My voice trailed off into a pitiful whine as my fingers raked themselves uselessly through the tangled mass that was my hair, catching and pulling my hair with an odd tugging sensation every few seconds. “I know you can hear me! Don’t you want to help me?” After a few moments of dead silence something tightened inside of me, my hand squeezed Edwards, tightening to the point of shaking as a thought blossomed in my head. My family was deliberately ignoring me. Walking stiffly towards the room that Alice and Jasper shared, my boots making heavy clumping sound as they hit the floor, the closed door stood in front of me like a barrier of sorts. My clenched fist pounded angrily on the wooden door, the sound of splintering wood was the only sound that greeted my ears for a few long moments before the soft patter of Alice’s small feet walking towards the door. There was something that felt wrong, some intangible feeling that settled in the pit of my stomach as Alice’s footsteps stopped at the door, the slight scratching sound as the metal door handle scraped against its moorings. My body tensed as the door to Alice’s room opened slowly, something was telling me that I shouldn’t be here, that I didn’t want to see what this door concealed behind its wooden panels. Alice’s small form filled the opening left by the door; her once shiny, pointed hair was now dull and disheveled. She stared past me with eyes that seemed to fluctuate with emotions, her facial expression was that of a wall. An overwhelming urge to leave suddenly bloomed throughout my body as I took a step backwards, my hands held up in front of me as if to fend off an attack. Alice’s eyes seemed to come back to reality as they followed my slow movement, her small lips opened slightly as if to speak, but closed after a few moments of silence. An uncomfortable silence settled between us as I stared at her with a confused expression, not sure what to do about Alice’s odd actions. Tension built inside my chest like a gathering storm, I felt my muscles tighten, my jaw clenched shut, eyes widened for no explainable reason. My strangled voice seeped into the silence, “Alice? What happened to you?” My freehand clenched into a fist, I forced it to flex back out. That small phrase had a profound effect on the countenance of Alice, unrestrained rage flashed through her eyes, leaving them with a murderous glare. Her body went rigid as she lost control of her actions, something hard slammed into my breasts, pain arched through my body as my feet left the floor. The resounding thud of me landing hard echoed throughout the house, my vision fluxed as it tried to correct itself, making it appear as though the wall was bent. Alice’s vehement, barely coherent voice filled my head as I felt something stirring in me, “What did you do to him. “What Happened in there?!” I felt her iron grip on my shoulder as she flipped me onto my back, she knelt over me, staring at me with deadly intent on her face, searching for the answers that I held. Alice’s icy breath washed over my face, a sudden pain wracked my body, sight failed me as my eyes closed on their own accord, air escaped my lungs and wasn’t replaced as convulsion shook my body. My fingers dug into the wooden panels of the floor a final time before the tension evaporated from my limp body. I was somebody else. I rolled my head off its side to look at Alice with new, fiendish eyes. A twisted smile fell across my face as a sensual purr emanated from my chest. My hand went to Alice’s soft cheek only to hesitate in midair when she jerked back, a weary expression on her face. I cooed like a mother does when comforting a small child as my hand continued towards her face. The silken skin of her cheek was a wonderful feeling under my fingers as I slowly followed the curve of her pronounced cheek bone and stopped under the eye. An icy, emotionless hiss answered her anger filled demands, “You want to know what happened to your precious Jasper?” Her expression changed from that of anger to shock instantly as she studied the transformation I had undergone. A guttural laugh escaped me as I stared at her through infernal eyes, she was the enemy, “I stole his mind.” My first two fingers stiffened, shoulder jerked as my arm jumped forward, shoving my fingers into her skull, the eye popping with a sickening wet sound, and curled them to achieve anchorage as I jumped to my feet. Alice tried to jerk backwards with a scream of pain and surprise only to be caught on my fingers. The smile on my face twisted into a snarl of hatred as I heaved my arm forward, throwing Alice into a wall with her skull. I watched the remains of her eye fall off my hand as I shook it violently, grimacing in disgust as I stepped towards her crumpled body. Alice’s body shuddered as the waves of pain washed through it, her arm shifter as she stretched her hand out to push herself up, only to scream as my boot slammed onto it, lifted and collided with the side of her head, the sounds of shattering bones filled the hallway. Multiple doors slammed opened at once, footsteps, ranging from heavy to whispers echoed throughout the house, they all sounded rushed. I looked around at the sounds, annoyance flashed across my face as I turned to look down at my prey, she would live, but not without scars to remember me with. Knees bent as I crouched at her side, my nose touching the back of her neck as I took in her scent. I opened my mouth and sank my razor edged teeth into the back of her neck, cutting through the soft skin with ease and twisted my head, followed immediately by my fingers as they dug deeply into the gash. My shoulder jerked and the sound of rending flesh surrounded me as I tore the skin from the nape of her neck, Alice’s piteous moan of pain as my poison raced through her body followed me as I ran into the room that held Jasper’s body. Jasper’s unmoving body gained yet another scar as I swiftly tore the skin from his nape and added it to my newest collection. The sound of heavy breathing caused me to turn my head in time to see Emmet’s bulk hurtling towards me with startling speed, my body stiffened an instant before he slammed into me, shoulder first. A deafening thunderclap shook the house as we collided, my vision blurred as the air rushed past me, metal screamed, glass shattered and silence. My body slammed into the ground with a muffled thud, glass and bits of wrought iron tinkled as they fell on and around me. I was up in an instant and turned into a whisper as I ran into the forest, Rosalie’s horrified scream following in my wake. |

An icy finger barely touched my cheek, taking my tears with it as a soothing murmur filled my mind, “Remember Me…” |
| Daughter of the Night, She walks again. The ancient war, She yet fights. Her new Lover She seeks, who shall serve Her and Die, yet serve still Who shall Stand against Her coming? | |
