Well, my grandmother passed away about a half an hour ago, I'm stuck here at home. However, there will be the wake and the funeral.
Then, next friday, I have a pre wedding party, saturday is my cousin's wedding, then sunday I have a family reunion/party.
just saying.

I feel bad for you, man. My grandma died of lung cancer in 2005, and she was the only grandparent I had ever known, so that made it even worse.
If you think this is part of my post, you are mistaken, for this is a signature.

Me too. But I honestly think the wedding will help. Something similar happened to me and everything went alright.

Well I have nothing going on until monday.Cause family from away can't get here till then.

The wedding will help, specially since it's on the other side of the family. And it's followed by a family reunion (again, other side of family).

First time I saw my dad cry though.
just saying.

Yeah...

I know how you feel. My grandpa had a stroke (5 or 6?) years ago, and it was the very first time I saw my mom take off work early. She left that night to go to Kansas (where her family lives), and used up half her sick days that year because she stayed there so long.

Wow. It was also the first time I saw a few other of my aunts/uncles cry.

I'm sorry for your loss. Hang in there.

My grandfather (on my mother's side of the family) passed away when I was still too young to understand what was going on, but it was also the first time that I had seen my mother cry.

This is the second death I've gone through. First was my aunt, two years ago. But now I have one grandfather and one grandmother, 2 sides of the family, one slightly crazy. >_> My grandfather died 20 years before I was born.

But I'll be fine until they get to the speeches. They get to me. Or so they did at my aunt's wake/funeral.
just saying.

kyo, that same thing happened to me, with my mother crying because my grandfather died, except it was this year, not when I was little.

Thats horrible..

My grandparents on my fathers side (I had 3 of them, will explain) all died, two in a year ago.

His mother died when he was 16-ish (or so I'm told) and my grandfathers new wife died for an unknown reason, and my grandfather passed away only a few months after that.

I've also lost two uncles. Death is all around Texas.

At my grandfathers funeral, it was the first time I saw my father cry aswell.

Hope everything works out for you, hang in there.

Auhg we went to my cousin's house yesterday (and today) and yesterday my uncle pushed me into the pool. Well, it was great and all cause I wanted to go in but refused to. But anyways, my ears got plugged, and now I got an ear ache, and it's getting worser by the hour it seems.
just saying.

A bit late to take note of this, but my grandmother died of lung cancer too.
