Gaern He took a look around the hut, then promptly went outside. Once he was a good distance, his wings were uncased and he headed for a secluded spot near the area. He wanted some peace and quiet. |

Shu He hated this whole concept, travelling and the like, was never really his cup of tea, he travelled before, true, but that was mainly because of banishments and threats of lynching...and lynching. Shu looked down and pulled his shirt up a bit. That scar would be with him always. Boiling tar had a way about it that made it feel like it was all over you, wherever it touched you. Shu scowled at the feather-shaped mark, wishing that if he grimaced and frowned enough, it would go away. At least he learned his lesson, stay away from the chieftain's personal stash of herbs, they may be valuable ingredients to you, but to him they may be a fix, and getting between a man and his fix is never a good idea, particularily when he has the command of an entire village with him. Shu should have ran, he got too close that time, tried to take her with him. Looking back, he should have forgotten about her, what was she to him, really? Just a body, and what a body. He remembered that evil body tackling him...He looked up at the sky, that was enough thinking about that, money was a much nicer subject. He turned his attention towards the little hut, He didn't know why they were stopping there. THere was a beautiful clearing less than a mile away, Shu could see it from atop the tree, but if they would rather be cramped together on a fine night like this, good for them. As long as no harm fell upon the princess. "Shu, get the Princes safely to Haushalt!" Memories were a real bitch, hard to turn off. I'm going to get her there, you old fool. Shu would keep his word, he'd never broken it in the past. He'd lied many a time, but never broken his word. But he hated crowds, and that group just kept getting bigger. He'd keep an eye on them, though. Shu pulled some fried rabbit out of a little sack he purchased in town, while they were at the arena. It was okay, needed some cayenne on it, but he couldn't be picky, this wasn't the palace. |

Rhia Rhia stirred, opening her eyes. Sunlight, very bright sunlight. Immediately, she shut her eyes once more, counting to five before opening her eyes once more. Better...standing up, she got out of the traveler's hut. It had been in filthy conditions recently... Looking around, Rhia admired the grassy meadows, brightened by the sun, and gently swaying with the cool breeze. She walked around, never straying from the hut, taking in the fresh air before awaking the others. As she was about to return, Rhia noticed someone in the distance, waiting for her at the hut. Hesitantly, she headed back. "Hello there," the man greeted. Dressed in white, with a mask. "I am the White Seraph." |

~Falo~ Used to sleeping in squalid conditions, the young man had woken up at the crack of dawn as per his usual habits -- in order to bathe, of course. Being a smuggler and a petty thief didn't mean he had to be one of the great unwashed or however that phrase went. Lucky for him, there had been a stream way back among the trees that he had noticed the night before. Dressed back in his preferred vest and light pants, he was on the verge of calling for Rhia when he, too, noticed the strange man standing at the door of the hut. Quietly, he approached as unobtrusively as possible. |

"The...White Seraph?" Rhia repeated. She knew the legends, the stories...only fragments and bits, as that was all that was left, but she remembered something. The White Seraph, an important figure, a great source of pain, love, and knowledge for Lea, presumedly before she became a Goddess. "Yes, that is what I am called," the man repeated. He showed his palms, outtretched. "I come in peace. I know plenty of magic, but I will not use it on you, Princess Rhia, nor your friend over there." |

~Falo~ "What's up?" Feeling rather silly as he dripped water onto the ground, Falo glanced at the strange man before instinctively shifting his mindset up to a red alert. Or, at least . . . yellow. There weren't that many people who walked around wearing masks. Thieves, fugitives, and actors came to mind. None who were particularly trustwor -- Oh. Wait. Strange, though, that this man was all in white. The point of wearing a mask was probably not to be recognized easily -- But an all-white wardrobe was hard to miss. |

"The White Seraph, huh? You'll have red all over you soon," Deyus spoke from behind the man, guns raised. The White Seraph sighed and turned to Deyus. With one flick of his fingers, the guns flew out of Deyus's hands. Turning back to Rhia, he stated, "I would like to accompany you on the way, Princess Rhia, that is all. Perhaps I can offer you my magic and my stories." |

~Falo~ I'm being left out of something here. He realized quickly as he noticed Rhia eyeing the sword held in Keldia's hands. Ah, well. That's what he got for not learning magic properly when he had the chance all those years ago. Magical herbs and devices was about as close as he could manage to get. "I wouldn't really mind." He knew his opinion had no real bearing upon anything at all, but he liked to think of himself as a pretty good judge of character. "If he was up to something, he would be disguising himself and not telling us straight out that he knew who you were, Princess." |

I wonder if he will tell us that story, Rhia thought. "Well? Am I trusted?" the White Seraph asked. "...yes, you are trusted. You may come with us," Rhia answered. "But...Kaeris is not here yet. Has anyone seem Kaeris yet, or is she still off meeting whoever she intended to?" Deyus Deyus stayed alone after retrieving his guns. Let's see...Falo, Lyorr, and Senna (I can't remember Ice's character anymore), Keldia, all not a chance. Shu probably is the worm, but he doesn't seem to want me to know. Ternan's unlikely...I'm positive it's Shu, but I don't think he wants to tell me that. |

~Falo~ "Kaeris? Probably still with her friend; I haven't seen her and I've been up for a while." He frowned slightly as he spoke. Speaking of suspicious . . . Had they ever really cleared up why Kaeris had decided to help them out? She had simply appeared out of nowhere . . . And now she had recruited some strange fellow, Gaern, into their midst, who disappeared at strange hours. Lyorr had wandered off as well and Deyus was certainly not to be trusted. And Tarnan, well. He had tried to kill them. Who's to say he wasn't simply acting as the mole here? The Princess truly needed to be a bit more wary about allowing such people to approach her. Then again . . . Why was he himself helping her at all? A pretty face, yes, but . . . He felt it was something more. Helping the Princess of Xenzin was like helping the goddess herself. And if there was one thing he had learned from his father on his infrequent visits, the Aderes bloodline owed much to Lea. |

"The White Seraph," Rhia answered. "We'll sit down and wait for Kaeris during your story...go on." The White Seraph “This will be fitting,” he mentioned, “with the special guest listening to my story today, Princess Rhia. And it also goes along with what is coming in the future, the Grand Festival of Freedom in Haushalt. Needless to say, this will be related to Haushalt’s breaking off of Xenzin…but before that and after that as well.” He turned to Rhia, addressing her directly with the next sentence “I trust you’ll find this very interesting and fitting with some of the history you must have learned.” And perhaps to others, he mused, eyes on Keldia and Deyus. Yes, definitely to others… “The tale is about one of Lea’s many friends…she was a mortal before a Goddess. And she was in an…interesting series of events, caught up in tragedies and wonders, for her and for others. This is about one of the others…the one who is known as the Grand King, Archbishop Vike. Xenzin had been destroyed in a war during Lea’s mortal time…and King Mizil of Eilfein needed to find someone trustworthy to run Xenzin. This person was Vike, one of Lea’s friends, a master of the blade, especially with two swords. And one of his swords…an incredible work. A strangely shaped longsword, blue in color, with the power of the four elements in it.” At this, Deyus was immediately drawn in. Swordplay and sword…a perfect and rather obvious fit. “Now…Vike had two friends. Two friends, he lost due to differences. They were part of an organization known as Malisk, which no longer exists today. Vike was not part of Malisk. They split, and fought during this series of tales…and…Vike killed both of them, one of them his lover. After that, Vike never loved again. He adopted two children, both who supposedly bore strange, uncanny resemblance to his friends, in the nature of their orphaning, especially. And they inherited various things…for instance, Vike’s special blade, he found another, retrieved from a foe. They inherited this blade, the other marking the tomb of Vike. And his interesting style of swordplay technique, of course, now more common as his family is spread out but still very rare. They also inherited, of all things, explosive arrows… Now, this family, it grew and grew, ruling as the Archbishops of Xenzin peacefully. The family of Vike’s sister, Tatyana, mixed with another family that possessed a rare blade, and became the bodyguards of the royal family. This family’s heirlooms mixed with Vike’s, adding to it a diamond-edged axe a one of a kind blade. This system continued, for years, with no problems. But eventually, there was a king, a cruel king. He sparked rebellions in Xenzin which led to the splitting of Xenzin which created Haushalt. And one of his daughters…before Haushalt was formed, she and the king had an argument. That night, she ran off, knowing Xenzin was doomed to the state it is in now. She took with her the diamond-edged axe and the blue longsword. The rest of the royal family kept the explosive arrows and one of a kind blade… All these items, their owners are now unknown.” But rather obvious to some in this group… |

Shu of course, misses out on the plot. Shu The king lay dying on the ground. "Shu, you have to honor my last wish, give me your word!" "Okay, I'm taking the princess to Haushal, you have my word!" "No, you have to defend the kingdoms from the evil hat dwarves!" "The what?" The king didn't have time to answer, he faded away as Shu awoke from his dream. He wanted to contemplate just what that meant, but he seemed to be falling from the tree. He grabed onto a branch on the way by, and despite a huge shock of pain, didn't lose his arm, something did fall out of his pouch, however. Shu hopped up onto the branch and began looking for what was missing from his pouch. Then he heard the large boom noise coming from below, accompanied by a friendly shockwave that sent Shu fllying up a good 10 feet, which took him back to about the spot where he was sleeping.Oh, it was the black ball. Shu was getting ready to check if anyone had noticed at the hut, when he heard a very unpleasant sound. CREEEEAAAAAK! "Son of a bitch!" Shu stood around for a couple seconds, usually something terrible would happen before he could even finish that obscenity. Maybe his luck was changing. He hopped to a lower branch and began making his way down the tree, when he became mor diaggonal than usual. No, wait, it was the tree, and it was getting worse, fast. As the tree made it's way to the ground, Shu hopped off and did a double backflip-triple-twist on his way to the ground, because if you're going to jump out of a tree, you might as well do it in style. Only it looked more like wildly waving his arms and rolling a couple bloody feet before hitting the wall of the hut. Shu stood up, with a few surprised looks, and a few less than surprised looks staring at him. Shu, who was usually a fan of awkward situations, didn't really like this one, and in an atempt to lighten the mood, spread his arms out and made his best attempt at normal speech. "Ta da!" Shu's insides were beeding, he might have to check into that later. |

"That...I can't tell if that was really fucking amazing, or incredibly stupid." Tarnan said to Shu. Of course, he could have applied the same thing to the Phantom of the Opera's story, or whatever the guy's name was. He had never been one for stories, he perferred doing something rather than sitting and listening. Still, he did like to be polite to people who could recall things that happened half a millenia ago, they tended to be fairly powerful. ((Gogo stream of conciousness!)) |

Kaeris "Goddamnit Grey, now I'm late!" Kaeris, said, sprinting. "Sorry, sorry. But wasn't it a good idea? Now we know his exact location." Grey said, flying no more than a half foot above the ground beside her. "That's not going to help much if I can't get back in time." She muttered. Grey pointed. "Isn't that the hut?" He asked. Kaeris looked up, and then slowed down to a stop. "I'll have to go. Catch your breath, and walk in as if nothing happened. You know the drill." He said. Kaeris waved him away, and Grey flew off in another direction. Kaeris walked up to the hut and entered. "Sorry for being late." |

Kaeris She looked to the White Seraph. "Ahh it's-- wait... it isn't... " Kaeris shouted in her mind. "Er... whatever." She said, and simply walked back out of the hut to sit in the grass.
