"Hm...well, there's the star of Orthis the Valiant, and nearby...there!" Cadra pointed to the constellation. "You like stargazing, too? I thought soldiers didn't have time for it, only for bashing each other's heads into weapons." |

Cadra settled down, wings gone, right next to Levin. "Agreed...I love to get lost in the stars, connecting the lines between them..." She turned to Levin. "If you're so against your missions, why did you join the Eilfein military in the first place? It's not like it's been a recent change to Eilfein's attitude." |

"Taking innocent lives is what I'm opposed to. Letting foreigners live wouldn't harm us in any way. They take the jobs nobody wants, and some have even tried joining the army." |

Omen He sat down at a bottom of the hill. Silently he unsheathed Twilight and traced a circle around him. As he sat down in the middle of it, he poured a powder into the circle. When the powder came in contact with the circle it made it glow, and raise a barrier around him. Knowledge is power they say...Lets see what I can learn... Within the barrier his hearing amplified, and he began listening to the surrondings. |

((No, since I haven't logged on all day. >_>)) ~Toremi~ "Huh? Oh! Mis -- Hi, Inerus. I was, umm . . . meditating." Although her eyes were fluttered open, she didn't move from her position sprawled out on the ground, arms crossed behind her head. Beside her, Puyo was kind enough to assume the facade of sleep, although she was quite certain that sleeping cats did not generally snort loudly and mutter, 'Meditating about ham sandwiches, sure'. "So, are you going to treat me to another story tonight? Or do you want to hear some more from me?" |

Torgan The world around him was spinning. Find him he said. But who was he? And who told him to find him? The thoughts clouded his mind as he ran through the woods, he had caught sight of a werewolf ritual, and the sight chilled him to his core. As he hurried through, he saw a man and a woman talking. She caught the name Vincent. |

~Toremi~ "You can go . . . Yes, I'd like to hear about the life you lived, especially your family." Toremi continued to gaze up at the night stars, a small smile playing on her lips. As Puyo often said, she was a sucker for tales of love and 'harpiness'. |

"Well...I was raised unique," Inerus started. "I was raised in a family, half a family. The mother who gave birth to me did not want to raise a family, and so she continued, working in what you would call the 'government.' The father who sired me was a professor...he taught me much. Besides that, my life was...ordinary. I learned about the Sin of Possession, as did everyone else. We learned about the history of the time of Possession. Similar to this place...power struggles, wars, prisons, horrible prisons...especially the Prison of Possession. And we were taught regular education. A group of friends I was with, we always debated on how this land was created, if the thing called "God" Possessors believed in was true..." Inerus turned to Toremi. "Lea...did she create the world I come from?" |

~Toremi~ "I wouldn't think so. That'd probably be Teleth, the ruler of Heaven. Lea's just in charge of Avilas." She pointed upwards at the stars, the same constellations that Cadra and Levin had been observing. "See? Those star-figures weren't named until after Lea ascended to heaven. Before then, Teleth was in charge of everything. My aunt had the old star-charts hanging in her home and they had terrible names, like Frog Swimming Circles or silly things like that. I think I prefer Lea's Constellation myself." |

Vall He had fallen asleep against Garhara, who sat laying there like a normal wolf, awake and aware. Garhara had always amused Vall. He wasn't a regular werewolf; he was more of a were-human. Wolf form, and werewolf form. He was even named after a legendary werewolf from 500 years ago. "Do you remember when I first gave you Garhara?" "Yes. He was still a little pup then." "And now he's one of your best friends." "Companions." "... Right. I forgot." "Forgot what?" "I'm going to find a way to let you keep these powers." "A gift? Why? I'm content with sharing my body." "You don't see? When we do, you become nothing more than a zombie! You feel nothing, you're too apathetic about what happens-" "It's the way I've always been. Who are you to judge me? You're not exactly nice yourself, especially to the Seraph." "... Fine." "Just like the kid you are." "A five hundred year old kid." "Right." Vall awoke, and Garhara changed from his werewolf form to his wolf form. "Sorry, Garhara. Didn't mean to startle you." Vall said. The wolf simply sniffed at his robes. "Hey, do you think you could smell out the White Seraph? I've got a question for him..." |

"The world I come frmo has existed for at least a thousand years," Inerus told Toremi. "How long has Lea been in charge?" He looked towards the portion of the sky Toremi was pointing at. "Star-figures are constellations? The constellations we saw were not the lines drawn by stars but the spaces between the stars, where the mind could be free." |

~Toremi~ "You must have a whole lotta stars if the blank spaces between them look like anything at all. Here, we trace the stars and the designs they form. See?" Her finger began to silently weave through the air. "Lea has been our Goddess for about 500 years now, I think. Most of us love her because they say she was a maiden from Avilas, first. In the legends, her family sacrificed everything they had in order to save Avilas from the threat of destruction. There were others involved, too -- Some say that the legend of Visp ties in with this one, for example, and the current rulers of Eilfein were descended from some of those involved, and the half-elf Aderes family of Onduorn . . . Anyways. Teleth, seeing that Lea had been left alone, was so awed by her true and noble heart that he allowed her to ascend to heaven, and she has guided us ever since." |

Vall "What's wrong?" Vall asked, as the wolf he was riding on stopped. "No, they won't mind us leaving. Trust me. I even think that witch girl hates me." The wolf growled a little, and continued to pad along the ground through the trees, sniffing its way around. Then, the wolf stopped, and looked around. "Here? He's not here. Don't tell me that he somehow lost his scent." Vall said, unamused. "Damnit, when you need him the most, he isn't there." "Haha, where have I heard that before?" His master shot at him. Vall nodded. "Come on Garhara, nowhere?" |

~Toremi~ "Hmm . . . I don't know. The legends are slightly obscure on that part. The Lea legend must be at least halfway true. There are descendents of those heroes living in every country now. But the Visp legend . . . In short, all it says is that a man searched hundreds of years for his lost love, and the two were reunited at last in death. Their whispers of pleasure may be heard in the Weeping Sea even now." She sighed happily. "Isn't that romantic?" |

~Toremi~ "That's right. It used to be called the Weeping Sea because of all these violent storms. But they say that it was purified after the great battle in which Lea ascended to heaven." Finally pushing her upper body off the ground, Toremi noticed the somewhat disturbed expression on Inerus's face. "Is there something wrong?" |

~Toremi~ "Well, that sounds about right. The insurpassable mountain peaks to the Northeast, which are just above the Weeping Sea, have always been conjectured to lead to some other land." She rolled over onto her belly and slowly kicked her legs in the air. "But since they're sorta insurpassable, you know . . . We never really could tell. "If you want to hear a story out of me, you'll have to choose a category." Teasing, she began to count on her fingers. "There's 'Toremi the Magnificent Explorer', 'Toremi the Spell-creator', 'Toremi the Firstborn of her Family' -- " "'Toremi the Thief', 'Toremi the Glutton', 'Toremi the Dunc --'" "-- How about 'Cat-Executioner'?" |

She blinked at him, genuinely surprised. "A story? Well, he's just sorta . . . always been around. Let's see . . . " Puyo had opened his eyes now as well, slowly looking up at Inerus's face. "Well, I can tell you what he said to me that one time . . . How long ago was it? 6 years?" Flashback Time! It's not working! It's your own fault for trying this stunt over a cliff. I haven't had to change forms in over 100 years. Change . . . ? . . . I'll tell you when you're older. I've been watching over the members of your family for several hundred years now, Toremi. Puyo . . . Oh, Puyo, I really do love you! [/flashback] "And that's why I keep him around with me, I guess. Even if he is obnoxious at times." Toremi rubbed the cat gently on the head, whose face bore a decidedly unhappy expression. "You're using up all the sap allowed in one night, Toremi. Go to sleep now." |

"I hid things back down for my own safety, for cowardice...now, I hide truth for everyone's safety. When I feel safe enough to trust you, I can tell you. But...it does me good to know he's made an offer of acceptance. Tell him I can not accept peace until I can forgive myself. 500 years...a long time, but less than I thought it would take for the wound to heal." The White Seraph nodded to Vall and slowly walked in the distance, into the night horizon. He grew darker and darker, until he was just a silhouette, a shadow, and then, the wind picked up. The shadow was blown away into dust, the White Seraph gone. Timeskip Inerus peered from behind a tree at the border, surrounded by fortresses. Sentries were patrolling along the border, with a variety of weapons. "They are waiting." |

Vall "What is with you people and explosions?" Vall wondered. "Either way, we won't all be able to slip through at once before someone notices." He snapped his fingers. "Erilis Sanctis Verifam Trickham!" Vall chanted. From more dark circles in the ground rose small imps. Cute in a devilish sort of way, they sneered cheerily at Vall. "Now now, boys. Nothing big and extravagant. Just enough mischief to distract them all. There are enough of you per guard too; so split up." Vall said. The imps chittered and clacked happily, and Vall stood, a little pleased. "Well, here's one way. If everyone's ready to go, so are they." |

"Levin...do you know how soldiers guard this border in the fortresses?" Inerus asked. "Are there traps or certain passwords one needs to be aware of...?" |

~Toremi~ "I like explosions . . . " Toremi's lower lip hung out as she sulked. Puyo, on the other hand, was staring at Vall with a mildly incredulous expression on his face (as 'mildly incredulous' as he could manage to twitch his cat's face into, anyway.) " . . . Erilis Sanctus Erifam . . . Trickham? Can we try 'Erilis Sanctus Erifam Lazium' next and hope for a plush couch?" |

Vall "Verifam, not Erifam. And the words are from an arcane language that has been altered and modified to become the language we use today. Who knows. You might be able to say whatever the word was for chair, or soft chair, for that matter, and get one. Let's try." "Erilis Sanctic Verifam Mollia Sessio!" Vall chanted, and a giant beanbag chair appeared above Puyo and crushed the familiar under it. "Well what do you know?" |

Levin "No passwords, however if you go over the border illegally, they'll likely try to pour boiling hot oil on you," Levin replied. "There's archers posted in the towers as well, though we can't see them from here." Levin pondered to himself for a sec. "We could take a ship, though all the ports might be closed." |
