![]() Forgive the large size, I can't find Photo Editor and I didn't want to ruin a decent scan with a crap resize. >__> Honestly, the scan doesn't really do the work justice; it's probably the best one I've done in a while(eyebrows are kinda funky, the hair and facial structure are done better than anything I've done before). She's a total bookworm who is the only librarian at the oldest, most redundant library in the city. It's owned by a reclusive billionaire who filled it with old and rare books, but doesn't let anyone borrow them. YOu can read them inside the library, but who the hell can read those books in a few hours? So she gets paid to basically read books at the check-out desk. Awesome job. Fun facts: That outfit is the only one she wears. Her brother, whom she absolutely adored, bought it for her, then passed away of cancer. Washing and ironing it is the only thing that she does day after day that takes away from reading time(some days, she goes without eating or drinking). She can read at a rate of approx. 400 words a minute. Although she's very good at reading and fairly good at writing, she's very bad at human relationships. She freezes up when confronted with a social situation, because she's always preferred books to actual people and doesn't have the experience to act like she knows she's supposed to. She cries over ripped books. She once bought a stuffed animal...except it was a stuffed book. She hugs it to sleep every night. She has a fondness for coffee of any kind, but doesn't drink it except on birthdays for fear she'll spill it on her books. And stuff. I'm just messing around here, so feel free to throw ideas. I wanted to make her a real quirky, shy kinda bookworm who has an active imagination and would like to be outgoing. I don't have a name for her yet, either. I want it to be a bit unconventional; I had an idea she'd be multiracial. Dark hair, obviously, probably deep, deep blackish brown with a hint of red. Or something. Not exactly pale skin, but fair, yeah. |

She looks like a Hannah, for the record, but if you want a bit more unconventionnal, Jinette could work. btw, that mouth is kinda creepy. |

Well...I was thinking more of a European name...maybe a French or Italian one. I know the mouth is kinda weird, but I think it suits her expression there, since she'd like to be kinda cat-like and predatory. |

Some days I wonder if it was worth it. Then, I realize, looking at the sky, that nothing is worth it. After all, what is worth? Worth is nothing. A mere word, invented by humans to signify that we think that we are important, too. We aren't. Then, as I think, I hear a voice calling to me. It calls my name. I walk towards the voice, heedless of my actions. After all, it doesn't matter. It isn't worth the safety. Nothing is worth anything. Walking, I see a man by a fire. He beckons for me to sit. I sit. And he asks me, "Why did you come?" I answer, "Staying there wasn't worth it, as nothing is worth anything." He replies, "If staying there wasn't worth it, and you came here, does not that mean that it was worth it to come here? Begone, you, and think more on the true meaning of life." I wake up the next morning, still in the field, on the ground. I stand. For it is worth it to stand. | |
