I figure the more comments I get the better. Hlep me plz

Here's one I did today. I copied the pose from another drawing because I've never done this kind of pose before.

Posted Image

Here's another one I did yesterday.

Any constructive comments or areas you think I need to work on would be great.

I'm afraid I can't offer any advice, since I have the artistic talent of a blind 3-year old when it comes to drawing. That's pretty good for someone who doesn't have much experience, though.

Those are very nice, Gringe, but I noticed that both of their feet seem to be off. For the first one, her left foot seems to be bent up, and the second one is curved too much, at least I think so.

For the second, both of them seem flat. They need some more shading, or at least some more :hmm: and :Miz:

Now, their hands look a little off too, but I can let that go as they seem like scanning errors. They don't even look that bad at all.

Her breasts on the first one look a little too pointy. For the second, the bikini seems a little too wide.
Farewell.

Hands and feet are tough. :/ I'll work on practicing those more.

Thankee, Snpies.

Oh more. Oki, thanks again.

Oh, and the knees on the second one seem a little off... perhaps they're slightly too small. Same with the bottom part of her legs.

The legs in the first one actually look pretty good. You did good your first time with that pose I'd say.

Yeah...it's not bad, but it's not terribly good, either. Anatomatically, your drawings are fairly good, but you need to work more on the curvature of the legs and arms(you keep having funky angles for places). That problem's really prominent in the legs of the second one. Gotta understand, in most cases, the legs curve on the outside, not the inside, like you've got 'em; especially on the left leg(her right), you need to make the shape a bit more organic.

Your hands aren't that bad, but the ones on the second are funky. Watch the width of the fingers.

The breasts on both of them are actually mildly pointy...I know some are like that, but especially on the second one, it looks weird. Unless you want to keep the effect, I recommend you try rounding it a bit more.

Second picture, the right foot has funky angles for the toes. It looks like the pinky toe is the biggest. One of your other problems is the ankles; generally, it's more of an inward curve that comes back out to hit the heel, know what I'm saying? It's especially prominent in the first one(where the legs are kinda chunky...and the ankles are kaput), but the ankles in the second one also need work. It might be the heel, not the ankle, in the second one, though; they're supposed to flare out slightly.

So yeah. You don't have any terribly major problems; your pictures are, for the most part, anatomically sound. Most of it's just practice, and using steadier lines than you've got going(lawl, sketch sketch sketch). The first one's pose and expression are kinda weird(it looks like she's leaning forward slightly, then turning back, because the back should have more of an arch and the abdomen needs to follow the hip curve), but it's not anything major.

Hmmm...the mouth needs work(it looks like a grimace), her abdomen needs to be thinned out(unless you wanted to make her fat), as corsets and such in dresses like that hug the figure. You need to have the folds be consistent; either they are slanted away from you, in which case all the folds are curved downward, or they are slanted towars you, in which case they curve up. You've got both at the same time, and while the wrinkling due to the hand grabbing it could account for the leftside inconsistency, it wouldn't extend the entire way you've got it going.

Feet are done fairly well, but the left leg(her right) needs to have more of a taper leading to the ankle; before it hits the ankle bone, it should curve inward.

Assuming the right hand(her left) is resting on her knee, which is the only way it makes sense, the slant of the corresponding leg is rather funky; it means she either has to have a curved shin or a huge kneecap.

You're probably going to want to emphasize the connection between the nose and the right eyebrow(her left), otherwise it looks slightly flat. Don't overdo it, though.

Back part of the hair needs to be fixed a bit, and she has a funky jawbone.

Other than that, it's sound.

Thanks. The mouth didn't turn out very well in the scan... I should try to figure out how to scan in grayscale.

I think I'm going to try to work on improving this one. I'll post an update of it later.

Much better. However, her ass/hip is a bit fat. XD I recommend you slim it down(along with the dress) a bit, and make it follow the curve of the spine a bit more.

The only other real problem is still the left foot; you've thinned it a lot, which works nicely, but the ankle bones don't flare out like they're supposed to. :\

I also recommend redoing the little gap in the white apron looking thing, as with the thinned down dress the way it's done is a big awkward.

Right(her left) leg is off; angle it more outward. Other than that, there's really no major problems, except that the pants seem kinda stiff and not sexy at all. DX

Been a few days since I've posted here. I drew this today.

I know the left arm on the guy is definitely messed up. I think I should also start practicing drawing my own hands in different positions so I can get a better feel for how they should look.

Gonna wanna work on proportions; for a male human, that head's oversized, although I'm not sure if that can apply to the girl.

Yeah, your hands need a lot of work; also, you might wanna look at how the wrist moves, to give a better feel of the angles involved. The man's right hand especially; that angle would look REALLY FRIGGIN PAINFUL.

The pants on the man need work; most of the time, the bigger, more prominent wrinkles will be at the bottom(assuming this applies), where it bunches around the ankles. Generally, wrinkles like you've got don't happen unless it's like a thick, padded pair of pants. You're definitely wanting to work on that left arm; the jacket should be more puffyish and hanging down.

You're also going to want to work on the hand/face contact.

A'ight, thanks.

Do you have some general advice when it comes to proportions? I've heard 1 head = 1 shoulder for males and 1 head = 2 shoulders for females. Also, people are about 8 heads tall, right?

That outstretched hand needs work; it's more likely for it to be pointing forward a bit, rather than nearly perpendicular to the arm.

Your legs, too; the angle doesn't work. The left(her right) needs to be bent more back, rather than left. They'd also be spread apart more, rather than bunched together.

Maybe some other stuff, I'm feeling kinda nauseous right now.
