He left behind his childish fantasies about aliens, time travelers, espers, and Santa Claus when he enrolled into high school, but now his world is grey and boring. However, during the period where the students of the class introduce themselves to one another, the girl sitting behind Kyon stands up and says, "I'm Suzumiya Haruhi. I have no interest in ordinary humans. If there are any aliens, time travelers, sliders, or espers here, come talk to me." Speaking more with Haruhi, Kyon is basically dragged along into oddball situations. It gets even worse when he's forced to join Haruhi's new club, the SOS Brigade. The SOS Brigade is looking for mysteries of the world, such as people who have experienced something mysterious in the past, have experienced something mysterious recently, or who plan on a mysterious expereince in the near future. The strange thing about the anime is that the episodes are shown out of order. Although it seems random, the shuffling is intentional. And if you ever want to see a Phoenix Wright parody, this anime is for you.

Also, by referencing past or future events (as they happen in chronological order), viewers are kept interested. It's confusing at first, but it's an interesting way of presentation. After you watch through it the first time, you can re-watch the series in chronological order to catch all the little bits you missed.

That's not the first episode. That's actually the 11th. The next episode, episode 2, is the real episode 1, with a proper intro and ending theme.

One exception is Initial D. There are really some obscure and vague titles that are actually quite good but often ignored. REC is one of them. BTW, I have this pic for Lukannon. Do you need Quicktime or will Windows Media Player do? And Kenshin is awesome once you get past the fact that Kaiba would make a much better hero than Kenshin.

$¯\(º_o)/¯$ Posts: 4,276 Group: ¯\(º_o)/¯ Member #7 Joined: July 6, 2006	It didn't play in anything I had, so I downloaded a small 4 MB program that can pretty much play anything, it seems. "MPlayer for Windows", since the "MPlayer" is a Linux program, it seems.
