went to carpet right last wekend to look at a new one for front room,stairs and upstairs hallway,found one we like and went home to measure up,,went back today,,salemen started working out the price for carpet,underlay and laying it,,,price was alot more that the other saleman guessed at on saturday,,what really got me going was a £52 deleivery charge,,bloody cheek when they are charging to lay it :rolleyes: we didnt buy it :realmad:

i might email the head office tomorrow to ask,,i really didnt like the salemen,,he was wrighting all these figures down,,,the salemen saturday said around the £500 mark,,he said £650 for the same deal,,,he said they would need a deposit,,the wife said how much,,£300 :wow: hardly a deposit,,is it :rolleyes:

Cheeky bastards. We use a small independant chap in Leeds market. When we had carpets down in the living room it cost us around 250 for WILTON. Quality chap he is!!

Mind you, there probably would be a service charge to you from Leeds I would imagine!! :lol:
