Shadow you did well doing it yourself. Based on my experience, it wasn't the workman but the materials and so-called experts (salespeopple) who didn't measure up.

Example for me: I had to retro fit a barn up to hurricane requirements of building code. The plans approved by the "expert" county engineer, required me to end nail fire blocking of 2 by 4 in every existing stud bay. There is no way in hell you can drive a nail into the fire block from left to right or right to left once the fire block is in the other stud bay. When I realized that egg head came up with that and that it would take me an hour driving and lord knows how many hours once in the city, I stomped the shite out of the plans. After composing myself, I drove there and orally explained it, but he failed to understand, so I drew him a diagram -- which his eyes apparently sent an electric impulse to his brain containing the raw data and which his brain apparently failed to completly translate because he for sure never built anything and because he is challenged everyday by the hand-eye-coordination involved in wiping his arse -- failed to understand without asking several other engineers who had to caucus, discuss, move the question and then vote yea or nay on it is fupping impossible to end nail in an existing stud bay.

Example for me: Bought a can for controlled burns of underbrush. Its basic design function is to eject inflammable fuel along a line from where you are already burning to where you want to burn. Well, it did real well at that. But it was also designed as a ventless can (a designed safety feature) . With the designed safety feature it operates during a controlled burn as a bellows -- that is it spews it out fuel (which is good) and then it inhales. Of course, when it inhaled it sucked the fire back into the can and ignited my work glove, burnt my fu*king hand, blew up the can (which I managed to hurl away before the boom) and caused a bigger fire. The fundamental thing it shold have been designed to do it did not do -- that is, it was supposed was not supposed to burn my ass!!!!

Anyways Shadow, you took the job on and WELL F*CKING DONE!!!!, inspite to the design flaws and useless sales people.

It is that time. Its late for you so why not turn in.

Its not that hot now, but its blistering during the day. Saw on internet the average summer temperature here in Myakka is 92. something degrees.
