Mielestäni tuo näyttää Jerusalemilta... En tiedä miten.

Niinpä muuten näyttääkin.
Jerusalem

Thanks for checking out the first ever MGS4 Passport, a visual look at the international travel that is required for Metal Gear Solid 4 development.

Hosted by myself and Ken Imaizumi, the MGS4 Passport will be updated on HIDEOBLOG every Monday until April 3 when we upload our third (and last) installment in this series.

But as listeners to the Kojima Productions Report webcast surely know, we've always got surprises up our sleeves. Don't be surprised if another series of MGS4 Passport videos makes it way onto HIDEOBLOG in the coming months.

In this first edition we take a break from an exhausting first day of research and talk about our adventures thus far. A big, hearty thanks goes out to the owner of the café we stopped at. He may not care about blocking the view of our video camera, but he's got a heart of gold and makes a damn good sandwich. Grazie!

And be sure to check back next week for the 2nd volume of MGS4 Passport!

In Session #010, I take a backseat and let MGS4 producer Ken Imaizumi take reins of The Kojima Productions Report.

In the program we answer some listener questions and playback a recording we took during our MGS4 research trip. We recorded the clip in a cool restaurant and reflect on our three day experience. Backing a surprise appearance in the clip is MGS4 sound director, Tojin!

Don’t forget to check back Monday for the third and final MGS4 Passport.

Looking forward to hearing all of your feedback!

This week we very lucky to have 1UP Executive Editor James Mielke on the program to talk about all things Metal Gear!

Over the past ten years Hideo Kojima has been interviewed by hundreds of journalists, but we don't recall a journalist ever flying from the U.S. to Tokyo for Hideo Kojima interviews two times in two weeks. That honor belongs to James Mielke, who spearheaded 1UP.com's Metal Gear cover story and wrote the Official Playstation Magazine cover story featuring Hideo Kojima.

In this twelve session of The Report, Milky describes his approach to interviewing the Boss and also nails me for forgetting about the graveyard ramen dinner we had a few months back.

For arguably the most thorough Metal Gear story written in recent memory,
check out the 1UP cover story here: http://metalgear.1up.com

Oijoi! 1up:in Milkman on mukana showssa! :P

Back for the second half of his Kojima Productions' visit, 1UP Executive Editor James Mielke gives us the scoop on the work that went into his voluminous Metal Gear cover story!

We also talk about the business of Kojima Productions, the future of MGO, and everybody's favorite character Raiden.

Be sure to check out Milky's extensive Metal Gear coverage here: http://metalgear.1up.com

And a big, hearty thanks goes out to James for joining us on the program! See you at E3 buddy.

Things are really heating up for E3. The big show is just a few weeks away and we're still feeling the heat.

With our normal recording studio completely booked for work on E3 projects, Ken and I do an impromptu session of The Report from the basement of our office building in Roppongi Hills. We touch on our upcoming travels and answer a few questions from listeners.

Shoppers, bustling salarymen, and crying babies accompany us in this short but sweet edition of The Kojima Productions Report!

Ryan Payton

Report analysisi by SolidSnake1MGS:

5 bits of new news
* A video Report on the eve of E3 (May 9th)
* Their will be quite a few new KP games this year
* Konami are doing a proper E3 website this year
* They plan to show off something that isn't a game or a trailer??? (Worked on by Ryan for a month solid!)
* "He's Back!" This can either mean a new Policenauts (Johnathan) or ZOE (Leo/Dingo) It won't be Boktai as its already been confirmed...

Nyt alkoi kyllä E3 kiinnostaa hieman astetta enemmänkin lähinnä kolmen toteamuksen myötä.

* There will be quite a few new KP games this year
* They plan to show off something that isn't a game or a trailer??? (Worked on by Ryan for a month solid!)
* "He's Back!" This can either mean a new Policenauts (Johnathan) or ZOE (Leo/Dingo)

Toivon todella että nuo kaikki kolme nitoutuu yhteen ilmoittamaan ZOE3:n kehityksen. :D

He's Back tuskin muuten tarkoittaa Dingoa, vaikka hänetkin EHKÄ tulemme vielä näkemään. Kuitenkin syytä muistaa että Jehutyä mitä ilmeisimmin ohjaa nykyään Leo Stenbuck. ;)

Nyt täytyy vain odottaa että ne E3 sivut tulee pystyyn. ^^

Session 16:sta sanotaan, että he aikovat julkaista gameplaytrailerin kesällä Amerikassa!

Hot on the heels of our E3 special edition of The Report, the man behind Nintendo's smash-hit series Super Smash Bros, Masahiro Sakurai, joined me in the studio to talk about Snake's surprise appearance in the upcoming Nintendo Wii Smash Bros game!

Also joining me on the program is Aki Saito and Ayako Tateyama from Konami's European division. They work very closely with us at Kojima Productions and Mr. Saito has recently become Mr. Kojima's designated translator. On the show, Mr. Saito chats with me about Roppongi, translating, Sakurai-san, and that soccer event that I think is happening in Germany this year...

In this eighteen session of The Kojima Productions Report, the guys from PSM join me on the show to talk about their exclusive MPO cover story!

Recorded in San Francisco, Chris Slate (Editor-in-Chief), Randy Nelson (Executive Editor), and Justin Cheng (Associate Editor) were kind enough to sit down with me and chat about all things MGS. We touch on the mythos of Big Boss, PSM’s monthly Metal Gear column, why eye-patches are so cool, and of course, Kojima Productions’ upcoming PSP title Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops (MPO)!

Be sure to check out PSM's exclusive cover story when it hits newsstands later this month in North America!

Today we are joined by oh-so-hot design studio, LOGAN, to chat about the cool new Metal Gear Solid 4 logo they designed for us.

LOGAN is one of America's hottest creative studios, best known for its creation of one of the decade's most successful television/print ads – Apple's infectious dancing silhouette iPod ads.

Recorded in their studio in Venice, CA, Alexei Tylevich (Creative Director) and Kevin Shapiro (Producer) sat down with us to talk about the challenges of doing creative work on one of the world's most popular game franchises. We also dug into Ken's past – always a favorite topic!

By the way, did you know that we have a brand new homepage? Check it out here:
http://www.konami.jp/kojima_pro/

We've also uploaded our brand new official site for Metal Gear Solid: Digital Graphic Novel. We really worked hard to make sure this site captures the feel of the upcoming title. You owe it to yourself to give it a look (and listen)!

Ken and I are back for three special editions of The Kojima Productions Report at Tokyo Game Show.

Everyday Ken and I will be holed up in the radio booth located within the Konami space at Makuhari Messe recording new sessions of The Report!

On Day One (Sept 22), Ken and I will be joined by Alexei Tylevich from LOGAN to chat about past and upcoming work on MGS4. Alex and his team at LOGAN provided the new logo design for MGS4 and is currently at work on a much larger MGS4 project that we will announce on the radio program.

Posted Image

On Day two (Sept 23), we will be joined by Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops producer Noriaki Okamura to chit-chat about the challenges of bringing MGS to the PSP. And on Day Three (Sept 24) Ken and I will ham it up with Lunar Knights producer Kensuke Yoshitomi.

All three sessions will be uploaded shortly after the curtains close at TGS 2006. If you're going to be at the Messe, but sure to stop by the Konami booth to catch The Report live!

Day One Live Recording @ 11:20-11:35
Day Two Live Recording @ 12:40-12:55
Day Three Live Recording @ 12:40-12:55

Olin jo kerennyt melkein luopumaan toivosta että KojiPro report on täysin tyssännyt ja ja jäänyt ikuisesti vain historian kirjoihin. Mutta nyt he ovat tulleet takaisin!

Koji-Pro report is back!

Posted Image

I'm writing this on the eve of the North American launch of Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops for PSP. The first review is up on IGN.com, and it's extremely positive! I'm glad the reviewer enjoyed the new approach we've taken with MGS.

As development on MPO and MGS4 became increasingly more busy, Ken and I decided to take a break from The Kojima Productions Report. But to commemorate the launch of MPO, myself and Aki Saito have prepared a special edition of The Report for your listening pleasure.

In today's show, we tackle MPO-related topics (of course), chat about the Nintendo Wii launch, and ponder life's eternal question -- Why are Japanese so prone to motion sickness? We wrap up the end of the session with a sneak peak (or listen?) of the main tune from MPO -- "Calling to the Night."

Thanks for tuning into today's show. Hope you enjoy the program.
